摘要： A method of coating of thin film coated magnetic disks and thin film magnetic disks made thereby is described. In accordance with the invention, a barrier layer is deposited on the substrate before the underlayer film(s) to increase the corrosion resistance of metallic substrate magnetic disks and, in the case of nonmetallic substrates, to reduce the diffusion of water to the substrate and of freely moveable ions from the substrate. Preferably the barrier layer is deposited by medium frequency pulsed sputtering at a frequency of 10 to 200 kHz and a pulse length to pulse pause ratio from 5:1 to 1:10. Aluminum or chromium are the preferred materials for the barrier layer. Additional improvements may be achieved where the sputtering process gas contains a proportion of oxygen and/or nitrogen.

摘要： A method for producing press-rolled tubes (3) with a press mandrel (1) and one or more pressure rollers (2), with the tube (3) being arranged between the press mandrel (1) and the pressure rollers (2) and being plastically deformed by means of force loading of the pressure rollers (2). To produce tubes with end wall thickenings, in a first working operation, a first press mandrel (1a) with a tailstock-end shoulder (4) is used. The pressure rollers (2) begin their transforming work at the tailstock-end shoulder (4) and work in the direction of the machine spindle. The half-finished tube (3a) is taken from the first press mandrel (1a), and, in a second working operation, the half-finished tube (3a) is clamped at the end with the wall thickening (5) which has already produced into a lathe chuck (6) (tensioning spindle or similar) mounted in the press-rolling machine, and a second press mandrel (1b), fastened on the tailstock end and having an outer diameter (d.sub.2) which corresponds to the inner diameter of the wall thickening, is pushed into the half-finished tube (3a). Then the pressure rollers (2) form the second wall thickening from the tailstock-end in the direction of the machine-spindle end.

Photovoltaic cells manufactured using a semiconductor wafer typically have a P type semiconductor region and an N type semiconductor region. 摘要： An aqueous solution of a resin glue comprising formaldehyde, urea, melamine and phenol is obtained when phenol, formaldehyde and not more than 0.35 mole of an alkali metal bisulfite per mole of phenol are reacted to give a phenol-formaldehyde condensate, formaldehyde and urea in a molar ratio of not more than 2.5 are reacted to give a urea-formaldehyde condensate, and the reaction products are in turn reacted with melamine and formaldehyde.
