    • A vacuum cleaning device powered by compressed air includes a canister forming an internal collection chamber for collecting liquid and debris sucked up by the vacuum cleaning device. The vacuum includes a user operated drain from which liquid and debris collected in the collection chamber of the vacuum can be drained, when desired, and may also include a liquid extraction conduit extending into the collection chamber and attachable to a liquid pump for pumping liquid sucked up into the vacuum from the collection chamber. This makes draining the collection chamber much easier that in other vacuums. The vacuum device also includes a filter for air leaving the device which may include filter material in a filter housing over which a vacuum bag may be placed. A bypass in the filter housing may be opened to allow air from the device to bypass the filter material in the housing and pass directly into the vacuum bag.

    • A vacuum cleaner powered by compressed air includes a canister forming an internal collection chamber. The vacuum cleaner includes a drain at the bottom of the collection chamber from which liquid and debris can be drained, and may also provide for pressurizing the collection chamber for forcing collected liquid from the drain to a liquid drain or collecting drum or tank. This makes draining the collection chamber easier than in other vacuum cleaners. Preferably the bottom of the chamber slopes toward the drain. The chamber may be pressurized by the compressed air used to power the vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner may also include a separate pressure tank for holding a degreaser, detergent, or soap which can be sprayed onto the residue of a liquid spill afier the liquid has been sucked up. The vacuum cleaner may includes wheels and a handle for easy movement.

    • An adjustable protective cover for use with an outdoor air conditioning unit comprises a framework of vertical supports and upper and lower struts forming a generally cubicle configuration. The protective cover further includes a screen having a top portion and a plurality of side portions. The top portion spans between the upper struts for shielding the top of the air conditioning unit from the sun and debris. The side portions of the screen span between respective vertical supports and upper and lower struts for shielding the sides of the air conditioning unit from the sun and debris. A plurality of slider bars are fixedly attached along free edges of the side portions of the screen adjacent respective lower struts. Each vertical support defines a slot extending longitudinally therealong. The cover further includes a plurality of knob fasteners that are slidable within the slots and which are threadably connected to respective slider bars. Accordingly, each side portion of the screen may be moved between open and closed configurations relative to the upper and lower struts of the framework upon slidable movement of a respective fastener along a slot path. As the fastener may threadably tighten or loosen a slider bar relative to a vertical support, the side portions may be held in partially open or closed configurations.

    • A prefabricated steel frame building structural system which is assembled with nuts and bolts and required no shop welding or site fabrication. The columns and beams in the building are fabricated from lengths of very high strength, light gauge, stiffened C-channel steel stock. Uniquely designed haunch plates and haunch plate stiffener angles are used for column-beam connections and novel ridge plates and ridge plate stiffener angles are used for beam-beam connections to form the two hinged end wall and intermediate frames for the building. Also used are novel corner girt clips for securing the girts to the corner columns; rake purlin angles for securing purlins to the rake beams; and purlin girt clips for securing purlins to the intermediate beams and for securing girts to the intermediate columns. Each of the mentioned components are designed so that they may be used interchangeably at both the left and right sides of the building, there being no specially designed left and right said components. Also disclosed are unique methods of fabricating the purlin girt clips; and of designing a prefabricated steel frame building whose size may be incrementally varied while using the same said components, except for the length and/or gauge of the columns and beams, regardless of the dimensions of the building within a given range of building sizes.
