摘要： A collapsible batting cage having a support base (e.g., a front end, a back end and opposite sides) and a support frame to which a protective netting is attached. The support frame includes a plurality of U-shaped frame members that are pivotally connected to the support base so as to be rotatable relative thereto between a collapsed position, when the batting cage is not in use, to a raised position, when the batting cage is in use. A cable that is tied to the plurality of U-shaped frame members receives a pulling force from a winch for causing the U-shaped frame members to rotate from the collapsed position, where the protective netting is folded at an inconspicuous location within the support base, to the raised position, where the netting will hang above the support base. With the U-shaped frame members of the support frame rotated to the raised position and the netting hanging downwardly therefrom, the batting cage will provide a confined enclosure within which sports (e.g., baseball, golf, soccer, football, etc.) can be practiced without subjecting onlookers and property to the risk of injury or damage.

摘要： A method of assembling a frame assembly for a partition system is disclosed. The frame assembly includes a partition panel, a fabric covering the panel, and a frame component. The frame component automatically and evenly tensions the fabric about the panel. The frame component provided according to this method includes a support element, a lockable element, and an integral hinge defined between the support and lockable elements. The support element defines a cavity for receiving and supporting the panel. The lockable element extends from and is moveable relative to the support element. The panel is inserted into the cavity, and the fabric is mounted to the lockable element. Next, the lockable element is moved about the integral hinge such that the fabric mounted to the lockable element is automatically and evenly tensioned about the panel. A backing strip may be mounted to the frame component to protect the fabric from the integral hinge.

摘要： An adjustable protective cover for use with an outdoor air conditioning unit comprises a framework of vertical supports and upper and lower struts forming a generally cubicle configuration. The protective cover further includes a screen having a top portion and a plurality of side portions. The top portion spans between the upper struts for shielding the top of the air conditioning unit from the sun and debris. The side portions of the screen span between respective vertical supports and upper and lower struts for shielding the sides of the air conditioning unit from the sun and debris. A plurality of slider bars are fixedly attached along free edges of the side portions of the screen adjacent respective lower struts. Each vertical support defines a slot extending longitudinally therealong. The cover further includes a plurality of knob fasteners that are slidable within the slots and which are threadably connected to respective slider bars. Accordingly, each side portion of the screen may be moved between open and closed configurations relative to the upper and lower struts of the framework upon slidable movement of a respective fastener along a slot path. As the fastener may threadably tighten or loosen a slider bar relative to a vertical support, the side portions may be held in partially open or closed configurations.

摘要： An outdoor sleeping system incorporating a ground engaging sheet having a pocket connected thereto within which is disposed a pad to provide comfort for the user especially in rough terrain. The ground contacting sheet incorporates a pair of slide fastener strips, the innermost of which receives a thermal liner of suitable weight to protect the user under low temperature conditions. To the outermost slide fastener strip is secured a tent or bivy cover which is maintained erect by flexible ribs. The tent is provided with an enlarged hood, having a rain flap and insect excluding ventilators permitting the user to control the temperature of the enclosure from within. The sleeping system is completely self-supporting and for portability may be rolled to a cylindrical form and secured with straps. The sleeping system may also take a double-wide form for use by two persons.
