    • A communication network in an underground system comprises a ring network computers which is connected to an aboveground central system computer unit, each computer having an overview of the overall structure of the ring network and an allocated network status. Plural network computers are configured to, in the event of a connection interruption between networked nodes, seek an alternative communication path in order to maintain the communications. Plural network computers are coupled to at least one sensor in order to pick up information relating to the environment and are configured to pass it on to other network computers of the ring network and/or to the aboveground central system. In normal operation, the network computers pass on current information relating to the environment to the aboveground central system and to other network computers. In a network island arising as a result of one or more connection interruptions, the network status of a multiplicity of the network computers changes from normal operation to emergency operation.

    • An internal combustion engine includes a crankcase which accommodates cylinders, having at least one exhaust turbocharger and having an oil circuit containing at least one oil pump, in which engine oil is siphoned by at least one oil pump and delivered to the cylinders for lubrication, and in which the or each exhaust turbocharger is coupled to the oil circuit such that siphoned engine oil can be distributed to bearings of the respective turbocharger via an inlet line leading to the respective exhaust turbocharger and can then be expelled from the bearings of the respective exhaust turbocharger in the direction of an oil sump via an outlet line leading away from the respective exhaust turbocharger. The respective outlet line of the respective exhaust turbocharger is assigned a pressure limiting device, with the aid of which a vacuum prevailing at the bearings of the respective exhaust turbocharger can be limited.

    • A winding machine for electrical coils to be wound into layers has a device which supplies a material to the coil to be wound in order to separate adjacent layers of the coil from one another. The device has a device for producing a predetermined breaking point in the material, and a measuring unit. The measuring unit determines when the device for producing a predetermined breaking point is to be activated in order to produce a predetermined breaking point in the material. The device also has a guide device which fixes the material on the coil to be wound in the vicinity of the predetermined breaking point at a predetermined time, in order to sever the material at the predetermined breaking point. The winding machine therefore anticipates when a layer change is required, in order to then produce a predetermined breaking point in the material at a distance from the coil. The predetermined breaking point is pulled through as far as the coil, and this enables the material to be guided in a controlled and reliable manner. The material is torn off at the predetermined breaking point only after the material is secured on the coil.
