    • An electrochemical biosensor strip has a base, an electrode system, an optional spacer and a cover. The electrode system is laid on the base. The spacer is laid on the electrode system and exposes a portion of the electrode system for electrical connection with a meter and a different portion of the electrode system for application of a test reagent that is a reagent that is specific for the test to be performed by the strip. The cover is covered on the spacer to form a cavity. The spacer has an exhausting channel for exiting air such that receiving rate for drawing an analyte-containing fluid into the strip is increasing. Besides, the electrochemical biosensor strip may have a concave unit formed in the cover and corresponding to the test reagent for increasing receiving angles to draw an analyte-containing fluid into the strip such that the flow rate of the analyte-containing fluid is increasing so the test is more accurate.

    • An electrochemical biosensor strip has a base, an electrode system, a spacer and a cover. The electrode system is laid on the base and preferably comprises at least three electrodes. There is a short circuit formed between two selected electrodes of the at least three electrodes. The spacer is laid on the electrode system and exposes a portion of the electrode system for electrical connection with a meter and a different portion of the electrode system for application of a test reagent to those exposed surfaces of electrode system. The test reagent is a reagent that is specific for the test to be performed by the strip. The cover is covered on the spacer. The short circuit is used to switch on a meter for increasing the operative convenience and further used to recognize the suitable meter. The electrochemical biosensor strip may have a rough unit formed on the base for increasing the adhesion of the test reagent for the test to be performed by the strip.

    • An optical actuator includes a base, a carrier, a reflecting optical element, a connecting structure and an actuating component. The reflecting optical element is disposed at a first side of the carrier. The hydrophilic layer is laid on the area excluding from the electrode system and laid on the electrode system about 50% to 0% of the electrode system corresponding to the test reagent. The hydrophilic layer will not interfere with signal transmission of the electrode system so the test is more accurate.

    • A tunable laser source includes a gain chip, a collimating lens, a grating, a focusing lens and a wavelength selection device. The grating is positioned to be impinged by the collimated light to provide diffracted beams at different diffraction angles whose wavelengths disperse in accordance with the diffraction angles. Those diffracted beams are then brought to separate focal points on the wavelength selection device through the focusing lens. The wavelength selection device includes a light shield with a single slit formed thereon and a mirror. The single silt allows the mirror to reflect only one diffracted beam back to the gain chip so as to maintain the oscillation of the tunable laser source at the wavelength corresponding to the diffraction angle of the only one focused diffracted beam.
