摘要： A double alkali process employs limestone to regenerate spent sodium sulfite and then recirculates the unreacted limestone to attain a high internal stoichiometry and high limestone utilization. The regeneration of the sodium sulfite is carried out in a plurality of reactors and separation of the slurry from the reactors is carried out in at least one hydroclone. The at least one hydroclone has two primary functions: one to promote the reaction of Na.sub.2 SO.sub.3, which reduces the reactor volumes and reduces the temperature of conversion; and two to reduce the concentration of the limestone overflow, thus increasing the limestone utilization.

摘要： A chimney having a tubular inner liner and a tubular outer wall is provided with a seal for sealingly closing the upper end of the space between the liner and outer wall notwithstanding the radial and longitudinal displacement between the liner and outer wall. The seal includes a plurality of slidingly engageable seal elements which permit such relative movement between the liner and outer wall while maintaining an effective seal therebetween at all times. One of the seal elements may be fixedly mounted to one of the liner or outer wall and the other of the seal elements may be movably associated with the other of the liner and outer wall. An annular rain hood is provided above the seal in the illustrated embodiment. In one form, the seal is disposed in overlying relationship to the space between the liner and outer wall and in another embodiment, the seal is disposed radially outwardly thereof.

Preferably, the reagent flow of the two loops is isolated so that none of the reagent from the quencher loop is cycled to the absorber loop. A substantial portion of the make-up water for the quencher loop is received from the absorber loop and solids are concentrated in a dewatering system which includes a hydroclone.

摘要： Riser apparatuses and systems for vehicle transportation are disclosed. Embodiments include a riser with a top surface configured to receive a vehicle. The riser has a front end and a back end opposite the front end. The apparatus is configured such that rotating a lift mechanism causes a front end of the riser to move both in a first horizontal direction and in a first vertical direction to a first raised position such that the front end of the riser is supported by at least one rotatable leg. Rotating the lift mechanism also causes a back end of the riser to move in the first horizontal direction, and causes a latch to engage a carrier rod to secure the riser in the first raised position.

摘要： A strap tie-down apparatus and system. In general, the apparatus includes an elongated shaft generally attached to an automobile transport platform. A ratchet gear wheel having engagement teeth and a ratchet wrench socket wheel having a plurality of wrench apertures can be located on one side of the shaft together or on opposite sides of the shaft. The apparatus further includes a strap spool slidably connected to the shaft. The spool generally includes two side plates connected by a strap attachment bracket. A quick release pawl is connected to the platform adjacent the ratchet gear wheel for engagement with the engagement teeth. The pawl is connected to an elongated rod that is connected to the platform generally parallel with the shaft. The rod partially protrudes adjacent the ratchet wrench wheel. A spring is connected to the shaft adjacent the pawl.
