    • A power unit includes a rectangular frame having a forward end for operating the jack stand; a middle portion for retaining the lifting mechanism; a rearward end for controlling the power unit. A pair of lift arms acting in parallel have forward ends, central portions and rearward ends and are interconnected at the rearward ends thereof by a lateral push bar. A pair of horizontally oriented U-shaped leveling pads each having an outer rectangular plate and an inner rectangular plate providing an open rearward end with the opening equal to the thickness of the lift arm, and forming a closed U-shaped forward end, and are pivotally attached at the rearward end thereof around the inner and outer sides of the forward end of the respective lift arm. Each outer rectangular plate of the leveling pad has a downwardly extended lever arm at the forward end thereof for connecting to a leveling link. Each inner rectangular plate has a rear cylindrical roller bearing mounted on the rearward end thereof, and has an adjacent forward cylindrical roller bearing mounted on the forward end thereof, with the roller bearings for engaging side flanges of a lifting plate of the jack stand, and for engaging sides of a slide forward bridge.

    • A sling-traverse device for lifting system for elevation of the massive objects (constructions) provides a possibility to lift the solid over size and over weight objects. An improved sling-traverse device for massive construction lifting system includes an arched form traverse, a traverse connector, comprising a traverse flange, a lower portion of which is by a traverse hinge coupled with the traverse, and a sling flange, an upper portion of which is intended for coupling with the lifting system, and the opposite sides of the traverse flange and the sling flange are rigidly connected to each other. The traverse includes two pairs of levers on each of side of the arch, and each two appropriate levers are coupled to each other by the stiffener and resting girder in their frontal lower part. Also the improved sling-traverse device includes a pushing spiral springs with a directional fingers respectively coupled with the appropriate brackets connected to the appropriate shackles and levers.

    • Apparatus for supporting modular furniture including panels to allow access to a floor for reflooring or the like, and suitable for supporting a panel end while providing a clear space under said panel end. The apparatus has a bridge member capable of spanning a distance of several feet and end supports engageable with outer end portions of the bridge member for supporting it clear of the floor. A carrier slidably mounted on the bridge member between its end portions has a support which is connectable to a lifting jig engaged with the panel end. A tensioning or jacking device is provided for applying force to the support so that the panel end may be supported while allowing access to a floor area between said end supports.

    • A mobile power unit for a jacking system having extendible members is disclosed. The unit includes a frame having a pair of lifting members each having an extension member mounted therein and a pair of tie-rods each connected between the frame and the extension members to move the extension members progressively forward as the lifting members are raised. A pair of guides each having a slot are mounted on each of the lifting members to maintain the top of a jack stand at a constant angular relation with the extension members. The device also includes an alignment mechanism having a pair of curved springs each mounted on one of two arms of the frame and a pair of associated protuberances each mounted on opposite parallel walls of the jack stand to align the jack stand at a predetermined location on the frame. A release mechanism for releasing the jack stand has two cams each mounted on one of the two arms of the frame and a pair of pins each mounted to extend outwardly from opposite ends of the jack stand. The cams are normally spring-biased in their non-engaging position.A control cord is connected to each of the cams to rotate them to engage the associated pin to lower the jack stand.

    • A chain jack utilizing two chains is operated by alternately transferring e chain load from latches incorporated within an upper latch assembly to latches incorporated within a lower latch assembly while moving the upper and lower latch assemblies away from and toward each other by alternate extension and retraction of a hydraulic ram to cause relative movement between the chain and the lower latch assembly. Actuation of the latch mechanism is controlled by hydraulic connection to a pair of four-way valves operated by a control piston having followers from the four-way valves engageable thereon. The control piston is disposed to move with the upper latch assembly while the followers are rigidly affixed to the lower latch assembly. Thus, the engagement and disengagement of the latch mechanisms with the chains are synchronized by the relative movement between the lower and upper latch assemblies.

    • A chain jack is operated by alternately transferring the chain load from a cylinder or base latch mechanism to a ram head latch mechanism and moving the base and the ram head away from and toward each other by alternate extension and retraction of the ram to cause relative movement between the chain and the base. The chain load is sequentially supported first by one latch and then the other; one latch cannot be disengaged from the chain unless the other is supporting the load.
