    • Since the electrical impedance of an ultrasonic vibrator may vary according to the contact or non-contact of an application member with the skin, a detection circuit detects the contact or non-contact of the application member with the skin by converting the current the ultrasonic vibrator current into a voltage, and a comparator compares this voltage with a reference voltage. When contact is detected by the detection circuit, a constant-voltage circuit sets the level of the constant voltage output to the ultrasonic oscillation circuit at a standard voltage, but when non-contact is detected, the constant voltage is switched to a lower-level constant voltage. Thus, when non-contact is detected, the level of the ultrasound emitted from the ultrasonic vibrator via the application member is lowered, so that an unnecessary rise in the temperature of the application member is be prevented.

    • The invention relates to a gas barrier composition as well as to composite structures having at least one surface of a molded resin coated with the composition, said composition comprising:(A) an alkoxysilyl functional polyamine compound, or a hydrolyzate thereof, said polyamine compound having three or more amine groups, at least one nitrogen atom of said amine groups being bonded to a hydrogen atom and at least one nitrogen of said amine groups being bonded to an alkoxysilyl group expressed by the formula--W--SiR.sup.2.sub.3-f (OR.sup.1).sub.f wherein R.sup.1 is an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, W is a divalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, and f is an integer having a value of 1 to 3; and(B) an organic compound which is free of acrylic groups, said organic compound having an aromatic ring or an alicyclic hydrocarbon group and having per molecule at least two functional groups that are reactive with the amine groups, the alkoxy groups, or both, of component A.

    • A switched capacitor, integrated circuit employing at least one non-linear capacitor charged and discharged in response to a reference frequency includes a first conductive device for charging the non-linear capacitor to the supply voltage in response to one polarity of the reference frequency, and a second conductive device for discharging the non-linear capacitor in response to the opposite polarity of the reference frequency to a voltage level opposite that of the voltage source minus the threshold voltage of a third conductive device in the discharge path. Preferably, a pair of non-linear capacitors are employed, each being charged on alternate half cycles of the reference frequency, and the non-linear capacitors are accumulator capacitors. The circuit also include means for rapidly initiating the charging and discharging of said capacitors and for precluding changes in the state of charge or discharge thereof due to parasitic diodes in the circuit.
