摘要： The base layer of the cushion material is comprised of a ground body of meta-aromatic polyamide fibers and a bonding layer of substantially non-drawn meta-aromatic polyamide fibers integrated by needling. The airtight layer over the base layer comprises a non-woven fabric sheet of meta-aromatic polyamide fibers. The non-woven fabric sheet is integrated to the base layer under pressure by applying temperatures at or above the glass transition temperatures but at or below the decomposition temperatures of the constitutent fibers of the bonding layer.

摘要： A starter-alternator of a vehicle of the type being disposed between a vehicle engine and a transmission case having a field pole member coupled to an engine crankshaft of the vehicle engine. Crow-poles are interspaced to form alternating N and S poles. A field winding is stationarily placed radially inside the crow-poles. A three phase stator winding is stationarily placed to surround the crow-poles, and a housing accommodates the stator-alternator elements therein and connects the vehicle engine and the transmission case. The housing is provided with an air passage for introducing fresh air into the housing so as to blow it toward the three phase stator winding in order to cool it, and an air outlet pipe discharges air inside the housing. In association with either one or both of the windings, a water pipe in communication with a water jacket of the vehicle engine is provided to circulate cold water therethrough.

摘要： An intake system for an internal combustion engine comprises a first valve provided to open and close an intake passage leading to each combustion chamber, a bypass passage for introducing intake air into each combustion chamber bypassing the first valve, and a second valve provided to open and close each of the bypass passages. The first valves are operated to close the respective intake passages in a light load range and to open the same in a heavy load range. The second valve is operated to close the bypass passage in the middle of each intake stroke. The first valves are controlled so that the opening of the intake passages is increased as the engine load increases after exceeding a predetermined value, and the second valve is controlled to delay the time the bypass passage is closed with increase in the engine load so that the time the bypass passage is opened overlaps with the time the intake valve is opened when the engine load reaches the predetermined value.

摘要： A multiple-displacement engine is provided with a cylinder number control means and a cylinder-reduction determination means in order to switch the operating state of the engine from the full-displacement operation to the part displacement operation or from the latter to the former according to the operating condition of the engine. A period calculating means receives signals generated from a crank angle detecting means every predetermined crank angle and calculates the time interval corresponding to the predetermined crank angle. An engine speed calculating means calculates the engine rpm on the basis of the calculated time interval or period. A crank angle determination means which receives the output from the cylinder-reduction determination means and sets the predetermined crank angle to be submitted to the period calculating means to include a crank angle corresponding to the power stroke of a working cylinder in the part-displacement state of the engine.
