摘要： A waterless dye composition for apparel and other thermoplastic articles comprises a triglyceride fat or oil of the formula ##STR1## wherein acyl, acyl' and acyl" each are saturated or unsaturated substituted or unsubstituted linear alkanoyl of an even number of carbon atoms from 10-30 carbon atoms and an organic colorant.The composition can further contain one or more of:A. an aromatic polyester of the formula C.sub.6 H.sub.z' -(COOR.sub.1).sub.z, wherein z is 3, 4,5, or 6; z' is 6-z and R.sub.1 is higher alkyl;B. a cycloaliphatic diester of the formula ##STR2## wherein R is substituted or unsubstituted straight or branched chain alkyl of 4-20 carbon atoms, polyoxyalkylene of the formula HO(C.sub.x H.sub.y O).sub.n C.sub.x H.sub.y --or phosphated polyoxyalkylene of the formula(HO).sub.2 P(.dbd.O)O(C.sub.x H.sub.2x O).sub.n C.sub.x H.sub.2x or a salt thereof, wherein (C.sub.x H.sub.2x O).sub.n is (CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O).sub.n, (C.sub.3 H.sub.6 O).sub.n or (CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O).sub.p --(C.sub.3 H.sub.6 O).sub.q, n is 2-22, and the sum of p+q is n; orC. a bisterephthalate ester of an alkylphenylpolyoxyethanol.A process for coloring apparel or other articles, fabricated from polyester, polyamide, polyurethane, acrylic, halogenated polyolefin or epoxy plastic, comprises exposing an article to the foregoing compositions, maintained at a temperature between 100.degree. 摘要： The invention is directed to overprinting a poly(vinyl chloride) resin substrate whose surface, or portion thereof, is colored by solvent soluble dye or by way of a mass solvent soluble dye, with a coloring agent made up of a liquid halogenated hydrocarbon solvent having 1-4 carbon atoms, pigment dispersed in said halohydrocarbon solvent, and a film former, dissolved in said halohydrocarbon solvent, consisting essentially of (a) acrylic resin or (b) a combination of acrylic resin and chlorinated polyolefin, at least 50% by weight of acrylic resin; and heat treating said overprinted substrate to adhere said film former and associated pigment.

摘要： A process for dyeing polyester acrylic and polyamide fibers is shown. A fabric is padded with a foam formed from an aqueous solution of a dyestuff, a foaming agent and a carrier for the dyestuff and the padded fabric is maintained at elevated temperatures to fix the dye. The advantages of the process include improved dye prefixation, improved migration of the dye into the fiber, higher color yields in the fabric even after relatively short dyeing times and improved dimensional stability of the dyed fabrics.

CURING OF CREASEPROOFING AGENTS, CROSS-LINKING AGENTS, SYNTHETIC RESINS, NATURAL GUMS, ETC.; 5. DISCHARGING OR DESTROYING OF DYES, PIGMENTS, ETC.; 6. DRYING OF SAID FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATA. Localized and overall chemical reactions and physical changes on or in such substrata are obtained by application of heat, i.e. a temperature from about 500* F. to about 1,500* F., by contact of the flexible substrata with a heated surface within a short period of contact, e.g. a fraction of a minute, generally.
