摘要： Self-expandable, woven intravascular devices for use as stents (both straight and tapered), filters (both temporary and permanent) and occluders for insertion and implantation into a variety of anatomical structures. The devices may be formed from shape memory metals such as nitinol. The devices may also be formed from biodegradable materials. Delivery systems for the devices include two hollow tubes that operate coaxially. A device is secured to the tubes prior to the implantation and delivery of the device by securing one end of the device to the outside of the inner tube and by securing the other end of the device to the outside of the outer tube. The stents may be partially or completely covered by graft materials, but may also be bare. The devices may be formed from a single wire. The devices may be formed by either hand or machine weaving. The devices may be created by bending shape memory wires around tabs projecting from a template, and weaving the ends of the wires to create the body of the device such that the wires cross each other to form a plurality of angles, at least one of the angles being obtuse. The value of the obtuse angle may be increased by axially compressing the body.

摘要： An occlusion device comprises a distal end, a proximal end and an elastic braided body which is provided between the proximal end and the distal end and made of wires. The elastic braided body is composed of a multi-stage braided net, which comprises at least a first-stage braided net that is closest to the distal end and made of a plurality of first-stage wires, and a second-stage braided net which is braided by a plurality of first-stage wires and second-stage wires all together. The minimum cross-section area of the first-stage braided net after being compressed toward the direction perpendicular to an axis of the elastic braided body is less than the minimum cross-section area of any other-stage braided net after being compressed toward the axis. A method for manufacturing the occlusion device is also provided.

The disclosed stent is characterized in that in the unloaded state of the stent, the longitudinal size of most of the rhombuses (7) in the longitudinal direction (15) of the stent (1) is not shorter than the transversal size of the rhombuses.

摘要： A protective textile sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve has a flexible, tubular wall of braided yarns. At least some of the yarns are provided as a plurality of monofilaments and at least some of the yarns are provided as a plurality of multifilaments. The plurality of multifilaments are braided in a plurality of separate bundles. Each of the bundles includes at least two multifilaments. The monofilaments are embedded into the multifilaments during the braiding process to lock the multifilaments in an “as braided” location to prevent shifting of the multifilaments during application and during use, thereby enhancing the abrasion resistance of the sleeve wall.

摘要： Methods for forming a tubular braid are described. The method for braiding includes providing a braiding mechanism including a disc, a mandrel, and a plurality of actuators. The disc defines a plane and a circumferential edge and the mandrel extends from a center of the disc. A plurality of filaments are loaded on the mandrel, each extending radially toward the circumferential edge and contacting the disc at a point of engagement. The plurality of actuators are operated to engage and move a first subset of filaments in a generally radial direction to a position beyond the circumferential edge. The disc or the engaged first subset are rotated relative to one another, thereby crossing the first subset over a second subset of filaments. The actuators are then operated to move the first subset to a radial position on the circumferential edge different from its previous point of engagement.
