摘要： A silica containing composition is disclosed. The composition comprises a compound having the following formula: (SiO2)x(OH)yMzSaF: wherein M is at least one of the following metal or metalloid cations: boron, magnesium, aluminum, calcium, titanium, vanadium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, zirconium, molybdenum, palladium, silver, cadmium, tin, platinum, gold, and bismuth; wherein S is a sulfur-based species selected from at least one of the following: sulfide salts, dithiocarbamates, polymer-based dithiocarbamates, and polysulfide salts; wherein F optionally exists and said F is at least one of the following: a functionalized organosilane, a sulfur-containing organosilane, an amine-containing organosilane, and an alkyl-containing organosilane at a surface area coverage of 0.01-100%; and wherein the molar ratio of y/x is equal to 0.01-0.5, the molar ratio of x/z is equal to 3-300, and the molar ratio of a/z is 1-5.

摘要： The present invention provides a black brightening flake which prevents fine pigment particles from agglomerating. When incorporated into a cosmetic, a coating material, etc., the flakes enable the resultant composition not only to give a satisfactory use feeling, for example, spreadability on the skin, without giving a rough feeling or be satisfactory spread on a base plate but also to have high hiding power and take on a beautiful color tone. The black brightening flake comprises a metal oxide, as a mother material, which is derived from a colloidal metal oxide particle and 5 to 70% by mass black pigment dispersedly contained in the base material. The black brightening flake has an average particle diameter of 3 to 500 μm, an average thickness of 0.1 to 5 μm, and an average aspect ratio of 5 to 300.

摘要： This invention relates to coated particles used as phosphor particles for a phosphor screen of a display and a coating method for such particles. In the coating method of the present invention, first particles having a mean particle diameter of 3 to 10 μm are fluidized, and slurry drops obtained by suspending second particles having a mean particle diameter of 5 to 500 nm are generated from a spray nozzle or the like. Then, the fluidized first particles and the slurry drops are collided with each other, and thereby the second particles are coated on the surfaces of the first particles. Thereby, this invention is able to present coated particles wherein each surface of the first particles is uniformly coated with the second particles that are more microscopic than the first particles.

摘要： Ready-to-use water dispersible pigment compositions containing waer-insoluble, hydrophilic pigments are provided. The compositions comprise a stable dispersion of the pigment such as a porphyrin pigment, carmine, curcumin and a carotenoid in the form of bodies of an average size which is at the most 10 nullm is provided. The pigment bodies are dispersed without the use of a surface active substance in an aqueous phase comprising a hydrocolloid. The natural pigment compositions which are useful for coloring of food products and maceuticals do not migrate in the products and they are acid stable. The compositions are useful in coating compositions for tablets and dragees.
