摘要： A method and mount assembly comprising a screw mechanism including a sleeve rotatable relative to the first housing and defining an internal screw-thread for adjusting the stiffness in the mount assembly in a vehicle. A collar non-rotatably secured to the plate and extends axially into the sleeve and defines an external screw-thread engaging the internal screw-thread of the sleeve. The internal screw-thread and the external screw-thread are self-locking in a static condition and prevent relative rotation between the sleeve and the collar below a predetermined force therebetween. A fluid pressure in the first housing overcomes the predetermined force and causes the sleeve to rotate from the static condition for moving the collar and the plate axially to change the stiffness of the pad.

摘要： A portable beverage container (e.g., an insulated, double-walled bottle) is disclosed. The container includes a lid pivotably connected to it by a hinge. The lid is arranged to be automatically pivoted open by the spring assembly when a catch on the lid is released so that the lid opens in a controlled, non-jarring manner. The spring assembly comprises an elastomeric member and a contact surface (e.g., a recess in a cap of the bottle). The elastomeric member is arranged to cooperate with the contact surface whereupon the elastomeric member operates bi-modally to effect the automatic opening of the lid.

The dump truck includes a body frame (2), a body (2), a support structure (12) disposed on the body and supported by the body frame, and load transmission structures configured to transmit a load from the support structure to the body frame and, to transmit a reaction force from the body frame to the support structure. The support structure has a plurality of vertical plates (12a, 12b) and a bottom plate (12c). The vertical plates are arranged along a direction in which the reaction force is received from the body frame, and the bottom plate is maintained in upward contact with these vertical plates. The bottom plate is divided into first areas and a second area. The first areas include areas where the bottom plate is in contact with the vertical plates, and the second area is an area other than the first areas. The load transmission structures are configured to transmit the reaction force from the body frame such that a reaction force to be transmitted to each of the first areas becomes greater than a reaction force to be transmitted to the second area.

The device allows a spring rate to be adjusted based either on sensed conditions, or by driver input. The spring rate may be adjustable between discrete settings or continuously variable.
