    • Apparatuses (10) for reporting problems in cable systems comprising cables (101) and loads (111-115) connected to the cables via fuses (121-125) are provided with first circuits (1) for detecting the fuses (121-125) going from conducting to non-conducting modes or having reached non-conducting modes, second circuits (2) for changing impedances of the cable systems at locations near the apparatuses (10) by introducing one or more impedance elements at the locations, and third circuits (3) for bringing the second circuits (2) into activated modes in response to detection results from the first circuits (1). The second circuits (2) may comprise capacitors (4) and the third circuits (3) may comprise switches (5). Devices (20) at central locations for detecting the problems comprise monitors (21) for monitoring, per time-interval, first values of parameters of voltage/current signals or second values of factors depending on the voltage/current signals and comparators (22) for comparing values from different time-intervals with each other. The values change in response to changes in impedances of cable systems at locations near the apparatuses (10).

    • Apparatus and method are provided for testing continuity of a ring circuit of an electricity distribution system, the ring circuit including at least a first conductor connecting, in a ring configuration, a source of electricity to a plurality of accessories. The apparatus includes: a switch arranged to cause a break in the ring circuit at a location in the ring circuit, the break resulting in a first end and a second end of the ring circuit at the location; a detector for measuring the relative voltage between the first end and the second end of the ring circuit; and an indicator which indicates, responsive to the detector detecting a relative voltage between the first end and the second end of the ring circuit, that there is a lack of continuity in the ring circuit.

    • An acquisition device includes a pair of input terminals for connection to an analog seismic sensor generating a seismic signal. The device includes a detector for detecting a disconnection of the sensor, which includes a current source for injecting a low current in the sensor to generate an offset signal which depends on electrical resistance of the sensor and is added to the seismic signal. The offset signal encroaches on only a part of an operating range of the acquisition device. The voltage measured at the input terminals is applied to an analog-digital converter and a filter to obtain a measured value of the offset signal. A processing unit either analyzes a temporal variation of the measured value and triggers an alarm if a determined condition is satisfied, or transmits the measured value to a remote device adapted to analyze the temporal variation.

    • A testing apparatus and a testing method of an electronic device are provided. The testing apparatus includes at least two device transfer plates and a testing circuit. The device transfer plates are electrically and respectively connected to corresponding electronic devices and at least two sockets corresponding to the electronic devices. The testing circuit is electrically connected to the device transfer plates respectively through at least two sets of serial signal wire pairs. According to types of the electronic devices, the testing circuit provides a serial signal to one of the device transfer plates through the corresponding serial signal wire pair and receives a response from another one of the device transfer plates through the corresponding serial signal wire pair, so as to test whether an open circuit is occurred to a bus between the electronic devices respectively corresponding to the device transfer plates.
