The frame member has an interior portion, an exterior portion, and at least one glazing pocket defined between the interior and exterior portions, the glazing pocket being configured to receive a lateral edge of a glazing panel therewithin. The cover is configured to engage the exterior portion of the frame member and has a gasket mounting means thereon configured to engage a glazing gasket for bearing against an exterior marginal edge of a glazing panel received within the glazing pocket. When a glazing gasket engages the gasket mounting means and bears against an exterior marginal edge of a glazing panel received within the glazing pocket, it exerts an outward force on the cover which biases the cover into snug engagement with the exterior portion of the frame member so as to secure the cover with respect to the frame member.

摘要： A framing system suitable for the assembly of thin panels such as glass or acrylic, which might be used in the construction of greenhouses, sun rooms, pool enclosures, wind screens or other non-insulating applications. The framing system consists of a unique three piece design which makes it particularly suitable for application to plastic materials such as ABS or PVC. The three piece design consists of an main supporting beam with a toothed slot to accept a correspondingly toothed extension of a T-shaped cover strip. The cover strip acts only to retain the supported panel against the beam. The beam supports the entire weight of the panelling. The beam is grooved along its edge in order to mate with a correspondingly shaped connector block. The connector block serves to connect adjacent beams.

This window structure includes, a tubular interior frame unit, a tubular exterior frame unit, insulating glass units, and seal means between the frame units. The tubular exterior frame unit overlaps and has substantially the same projected member width as the tubular interior frame unit for providing a slim appearance to the metal parts and for providing a large appearance to the glass parts. The tubular interior frame unit has a first tubular frame portion, and has a second flange frame portion, and has a third heat-barrier frame portion therebetween, for minimizing heat loss. Each insulating glass unit has two spaced glass sheets with a sealed air space therebetween. The seal means has a continuous primary seal member mounted on the first tubular frame portion for engaging a tubular exterior operable outswing casement frame of the tubular exterior frame unit. A horizontal bar and a vertical mullion with an upper vertical post are provided, and dual casement windows with dual fixed transom windows are provided, in the tubular exterior frame unit.
