    • An insulated door (10029 includes a door frame made of four side members (1006, 1008, 1010, 1012) connected by four corner connectors (1014, 1016, 1018, 1020). The frame members are profiled “L” shaped extrusions having outer panel locating ribs (6035), and inner panel retaining slots (6007). The corner connector has a base (4044) with a projecting post (4040). A first pair of connector tabs (4022, 4044) project from adjacent sides of the base to cooperate with first connection slots (6028) of adjacent side members and a second pair of connector tabs (4042, 4043) project from the post to cooperate with connection slots (6026) of the adjacent side members. The outer panel is located on the opposite side of the frame by location ribs (6036). The legs (6009, 6011) of the extrusion define a space D between the inner and outer door panels, and this space is filled with foam insulation.

    • The apparatus relates to an aluminium section member assembly with thermal bridge gap for window and door frames. The subject section member assembly comprises an outer section member (10, 20) and an inner section member (11, 21), which are coupled to one another by at least two strips (12, 13, 14, 15) made of a thermally insulating synthetic material. The two strips (12, 13, 14, 15) and the section member region arranged between the two strips define and inner chamber (15). In this chamber is arranged a filling body (30) made of a thermally insulating synthetic material which prevents any convection flows from occurring in the chamber, thereby improving the thermal insulation between the outer section member (10, 20) and inner section member (11, 21).

    • A composite section for frames of windows, doors, facade elements and the like consists of two metal section parts and at least one plastic insulating web which joins these metal section parts and is held with its ends in corresponding grooves of the metal section parts. The plastic material forming the insulating web is combined with a composite fiber skeleton consisting of heat-resistant fibers. The composite fiber skeleton is anchored in a positively and/or frictionally connected manner in the grooves of the metal section parts so as to also ensure cohesion of the metal section parts when the plastic material of the insulating web degenerates. The composite fiber skeleton is at least one band with thickened edge sections which are anchored in a positively connected manner in the grooves of the metal section parts.

    • This invention is directed to an extruded thermoplastic, thin-walled, high definition profile structure having a central hollow cross sectional member with at least two flange members extending perpendicularly therefrom and longitudinally therewith wherein at least one flange member extends from one side of the cross sectional member and at least one flange member extends from the other side thereof.     • A multi-pane insulated glass door assembly in which the forward pane of the glass unit extends outwardly a greater distance than the panes rearwardly thereof and is supported by an outer metal frame having a relatively narrow forwardly extending perimeter portion adjacent the peripheral edge of the forward glass pane so as to provide the door with a modernistic, substantially all glass front appearance. In another embodiment, each door has a non-metallic, lightweight outer molded trim portion which encapsulates the outer support frame and the periphery of the glass unit and which has insulating qualities that tends to prevent heat transfer between warm and cold sides of the door.
