摘要： A variable resistor including an insulating substrate carrying a resistor layer and a rotatable slider has an insulating spacer separating the slider from the insulating substrate by an appropriate distance. The insulating spacer is formed of a synthetic resin molded directly on one surface of the slider and is integrally secured to the slider by having portions of the resin extending through holes formed in the slider. Thus, the number of overall components of the resistor is reduced to facilitate assembly and make management of the components easier.

摘要： A variable resistor device with a lock mechanism in which a push on the operating rod thereof causes it to be locked in its inserted state and another push causes it to restore to its original position. According to the present invention, even if a plurality of such devices are mounted on one operating panel with the operating rods crowdedly projecting, there is substantially no possibility that the user inadvertently manipulates two or three adjacent rods at a time. Further the push stroke of the operating rod can be optionally set with ease, and even if the push stroke is set large, the overall length of the device can be made small.

摘要： A slide-wire assembly has a first and a second separately movable contact arranged to engage a semicircular wire-wound resistance element or slide-wire. Clam shell halves of a molded case enclosing the slide-wire assembly are arranged to support the resistance element and a motor drive for one of the slide-wire contacts. The first slide-wire contact is supported on a separately movable element coaxial with a motor drive output shaft but restrained from movement therewith while providing a respective contact adjustment capability. A flexible coupling between the motor output shaft and the driven slide-wire contact enables the molded case to align the contact to apply a contact pressure in a first direction to the second slide-wire contact. Concurrently, molded ears on the concentric support for the first slide-wire contact cooperate with an adjacent inside surface of the clam shell case to provide a pressure on the second slide-wire contact in a second direction to maintain its engagement with the slide wire element.

摘要： A potentiometer assembly particularly suited for supplying tuning voltages for all of the bands of signals capable of receipt by a television receiver or the like, includes three segments of resistive material arranged in a circle on a support member. Each of the segments corresponds to a different band of frequencies to which the television receiver may be tuned. Band selection is effected by comparable conductive segments on the support member.In one embodiment, a single wiper is used to sweep all of the resistive segments to supply the desired tuning voltage output. A cam arrangement is used to adjust the detented position of the wiper relative to the support member to effect fine tuning at each position. Other embodiments utilize individually adjustable wipers for each station or detent position of the tuner, with each wiper being preset to effect the fine tuning at the detented position of the potentiometer assembly. The individual contacts or wipers for each position are arranged to overlap comparable resistances on the resistive material, so that the entire range of tuning voltages which appear across the resistive material is available from the outputs of the assembly.

摘要： A variable resistance control has a resistance element, a collector, and a low noise contactor wipably engaging the resistance element and the collector. The contactor is provided with a pair of arms and a plurality of fingers extend outwardly from each of the arms. A contact extends from each of the fingers and wipably engages the resistance element. The contacts on one of the arms are spaced apart lengthwise of the resistance element from the contacts on the other arm for reducing contact noise.
