摘要： There is provided a text search apparatus capable of dividing a structured document such as an HTML document into segments, and presenting segments containing a given search key as the search result, thereby providing a part of the document matching the search condition as the result of search. The document is divided into segments by specified tags, and a level of association with an adjacent segment is calculated. A header is detected by a header tag, and the header information is added to the segment contained in the range of the header. Segments are divided and re-integrated according to the level of association therebetween, and indexes are prepared. A search is executed for two indexes, and the level of matching is calculated by weighting the search results for the indexes, and the search result judged according to such level of matching is stored or outputted for each segment.

摘要： The disclosed method of measuring the flow of a fluid with a porous particulate ceramic tracer and an optical instrument is characterized in that spherical particles having diameters in the range of 0.5 to 150 &mgr;m are used as the tracer. Inasmuch as the tracer particles for flow measurement are spherical, the sectional area of scattered light to be detected by an optical sensor means is constant regardless of the orientation of particles. Furthermore, spherical particles have no surface irregularities that might cause concatenation so that individual particles are not agglomerated in tracking a fluid flow, thus contributing to improved measurement accuracy.

摘要： A method of forming a polycrystalline silicon thin film improved in crystallinity and a channel of a transistor superior in electrical characteristics by the use of such a polycrystalline silicon thin film. An amorphous silicon layer of a thickness preferably of 30 nm to 50 nm is formed on a substrate. Next, substrate heating is performed to set the amorphous silicon layer to preferably 350.degree. C. to 500.degree. C., more preferably 350.degree. C. to 450.degree. C. Then, at least the amorphous silicon layer is irradiated with laser light of an excimer laser energy density of 100 mJ/cm.sup.2 to 500 mJ/cm.sup.2, preferably 280 mJ/cm.sup.2 to 330 mJ/cm.sup.2, and a pulse width of 80 ns to 200 ns, preferably 140 ns to 200 ns, so as to directly anneal the amorphous silicon layer and form a polycrystalline silicon thin film. The total energy of the laser used for the irradiation of excimer laser light is at least 5 J, preferably at least 10 J.

摘要： In a vehicle assembling line in which parts are assembled to a vehicle body while the body is passed through each of working stations by a plurality of transporting means, the vehicle body is positioned and supported by a pallet and transported by each of the transporting means, wherein transferring of the body between the transporting means is carried out through the pallet. A transporting path, on which a self-travel carriage as the transporting means travels, is laid within a pit concavely provided below a floor plate of a working floor. Arranged above the floor plate are a carriage frame, a lift table and a turn rest for supporting the pallet, which constitute an upper portion of the self-travel carriage. The transporting path is disposed substantially along the assembling line from its starting point to its terminal point, and an automated assembling zone and a manually assembling zone are coexistently disposed along the assembling line. An automatic machine is disposed in a working station of the automated assembling zone for advancing and retreating movement, and there is provided means for positioning and fixing the self-travel carriage together with the pallet in such working station. An overhead conveyor for transporting the self-travel carriage separated from the pallet in a hung manner is used as one of the transporting means.
