    • A transmission for an internal combustion apparatus is provided in which a parking lock mechanism is commonly formed with an upstream side portion of a power transmission system of a shift change mechanism, whereby the number of parts is reduced and the parking lock mechanism is compactly incorporated therein to achieve miniaturization of the internal combustion engine. The transmission in which a shift change mechanism performs a shift change in response to an operation of a gear selecting apparatus is configured to include a parking lock mechanism which is driven in an interlocking relationship with a working portion of the shift change mechanism, and if the shift change mechanism is set to the parking position, then a rotary shaft of the transmission is locked against rotation by the parking lock mechanism thereby restricting rotation of the rotary shaft.

    • To alleviate shift shock of an automatic transmission provided with a twin clutch. An automatic transmission is provided with gear trains equal in number to the number of speed ratios between a primary shaft and a counter shaft. A first hydraulic clutch and second hydraulic clutch interrupt and connect the transmission of rotation between a crankshaft and the transmission. A changeover valve is provided to connect the pressure of a working fluid to any one of the first and second clutches. A pair of orifice control valves are disposed between the changeover valve and the first clutch and between the changeover valve and the second clutch, respectively. A pair of accumulators are disposed between the changeover valve and the first clutch and between the changeover valve and the second clutch, respectively.

    • An oil pump unit for an internal combustion engine can reduce the number of component parts to configure a simplified pump case, reducing the size and weight thereof. In an oil pump unit has a case cover put on the outside of a crankcase via a spacer and an oil tank chamber formed by the inside surface of the case cover and the spacer. The spacer is formed inside an outer circumferential wall thereof with a division wall which partitions the oil tank chamber from a crank chamber and with one pump case half-body portion forming a half-body of a pump case of an oil pump. Another pump case half-body is joined to the pump case half-body portion to form the pump case. The pump case half-body portion is formed in a lower portion thereof with an oil suction port communicating with a bottom portion of the oil tank chamber.

    • An overhead-valve internal combustion engine with a breather chamber arranged below a camshaft housing chamber for housing the camshaft and formed between a cylinder head and a cylinder block.
