    • A system for implementing multimedia ring back tone service is disclosed, which includes a communication network, an MRBT platform storing multimedia ring back tones in the communication network and a VIG. The MRBT platform is respectively connected to the Service Switch Center dominating the terminal and an MGW in the communication network through the VIG; when a calling terminal initiates a call through the Service Switch Center, the VIG establishes a communication link from the terminal to the MRBT platform through the MGW and the VIG before the call is put through; and MRBT platform plays multimedia ring back tones for the calling terminal via the established communication link. The present invention also provides a method for implementing multimedia ring back tone service is also disclosed. The system and the method can implement multimedia ring back tone service in 3G communication networks.

    • Traditional networked file systems like NFS do not extend to wide-area due to network latency and dynamics introduced in the WAN environment. To address that problem, a wide-area networked file system is based on a traditional networked file system (NFS/CIFS) and extends to the WAN environment by introducing a file redirector infrastructure residing between the central file server and clients. The file redirector infrastructure is invisible to both the central server and clients so that the change to NFS is minimal. That minimizes the interruption to the existing file service when deploying WireFS on top of NFS. The system includes an architecture for an enterprise-wide read/write wide area network file system, protocols and data structures for metadata and data management in this system, algorithms for history based prefetching for access latency minimization in metadata operations, and a distributed randomized algorithm for the implementation of global LRU cache replacement scheme.

    • A method and system to optimize the parameters of a robot used in an assembly process. The assembly process is categorized based on its nature which may be cylindrical, radial and multi-stage insertion. The search pattern and search parameters are specified. The parameters are optimized and the optimized parameter set are verified and when a predetermined criteria such as assembly cycle time set and/or success rate is met the optimization process stops. When the optimization stops the verified parameters are used to cause the robot to perform the categorized assembly process. If the parameters do not meet the predetermined criteria, another round of optimization using the same or other parameters can be performed.

    • A method for reconfiguring a partially manufactured product during a manufacturing process is disclosed. The method can include reading a configuration of the partially manufactured product and reading at least one order for a manufactured product, wherein each order is associated with a target configuration. The method can further include reading a set of rules that match a given configuration with one of a set of target configurations and executing the set of rules upon the configuration of the partially manufactured product so as to match the configuration of the partially manufactured product with one of a target configuration of the at least one order. The method can further include initiating re-configuration of the partially manufactured product to the target configuration with which it was matched. Thus, the partially manufactured product is reused in the manufacturing process to fulfill an order it was not originally created to fulfill.

    • A mounting apparatus for holding a storage device with a mounting hole comprises a bracket, an operating member, and a fastener. The bracket comprises a first sidewall connected to a second sidewall, and the second sidewall is generally perpendicular to the first sidewall. The storage device is disposed in the bracket. A fastener is pivotally attachable to the first sidewall of the bracket, and a mounting tab is formed from the fastener. An operating member is movably attached to the second sidewall of the bracket and connectable to the fastener. The fastener is pivoted by moving the operating member so that the mounting tab of the fastener is inserted into the mounting hole of the storage device for latching the storage device. Thus, the storage device is locked in the bracket.
