    • A method and device for communicating data within a packet frame unit between a terminal and a base station are disclosed. The terminal communicates the packet data to the base station. In response, the base station transmits a channel occupying signal, if the data transmission from the terminal is perceived by the base station. The terminal continues the communication of the packet data, while the channel occupying signal is active, determines whether the base station receives the communicated packet data, and ends the process for communicating the packet data if the base station receives the communicated packet data. If the base station fails to receive the communicated packet data, the terminal is informed through the channel occupying signal. Thereafter, the terminal discontinues its communication and then re-attempts to communicate the packet data from the beginning.

    • A centrifugal extractor for extraction of an organic phase from a liquid mixture, such as liquid radioactive wastes, is disclosed. In the centrifugal extractor, both the separating weir and the divert disk are designed to be adjustable in their vertical positions. The extractor, thus, desirably separates the organic phase, including usable elements in addition to chemically toxic high radioactive elements, from the aqueous phase and desirably controls the reaction time of the two phases regardless of a variation of the mixing ratio and the rotational speed of the two phases. In the centrifugal extractor, a liquid suction and rotation unit sucks and rotates the liquid mixture and separates the organic phase from the aqueous phase while controlling the reaction time of the two phases. A height-adjustable separation weir unit is designed to locate the separating weir at a boundary layer between the two separated phases. A housing unit supports the suction and rotation unit and provides the path of two separated phases to the outside of the extractor.

    • A charge pump circuit is provided that includes a clock signal generator for generating a first and second clock signals respectively having a Vdd (a precharge voltage) level, and a third and fourth clock signals having 2Vdd levels (twice the precharge voltage) and phases substantially identical to the first and second clock signals. A precharge voltage output unit outputs a Vdd level of precharge voltage. A precharge pumping unit alternately performs a pumping operation and a precharging operation using a first pumping stage and a second pumping stage that function symmetrically to each other with regard to a precharge voltage outputted from the precharge voltage output unit in accordance with the first to fourth clock signals. The charge pump circuit alternatively performs the pumping operation and the precharge operation to improve pumping efficiency. In addition, the charge pump circuit has a less complex composition.
