摘要： A portable media device for use in cooperation with passenger entertainment systems installed in vehicles, such as automobiles and aircraft, and methods for manufacturing and using same. The portable media device is configured to communicate with one or more content sources, which provide viewing content and which may be proximate to, and/or remote from, the portable media device. Preferably being configured to wirelessly communicate with the content sources, the portable media device can select content from any available content source and can download and present the selected content in any conventional manner. The selected content can be streamed to the portable media device for contemporaneous presentation and/or stored by the portable media device for viewing at any time, including after disembarking the vehicle once travel is completed. As desired, the portable media device likewise can be configured to transmit appropriate upload content to the content sources.

When the validity of the participation information is confirmed, the server 2 determines information on a specific privilege related to the license, transmits the information to the external device (S206), and reissues the license (S210).

摘要： A recording device configured to store content data in an encrypted manner, the recording device comprises a memory unit which stores various data, and a controller which controls the memory unit. The controller possesses a controller key and unique identification information, and is configured to generate a controller-unique key unique for each controller in accordance with the controller key and the identification information. The memory unit stores an MKB generated by encrypting a medium key with a device key set that is a collection of a plurality of device keys, an encrypted device key set generated by encrypting the device key set with the controller-unique key, and a device-key-set index which uniquely identifies the device key set. The controller comprises a decryption unit which obtains a device key set by decrypting the encrypted device key set with the controller-unique key, an ID generating unit which generates a medium ID from the identification information and the device-key-set index, and an authentication unit which executes an authentication process with an exterior in accordance with the device key set, the medium ID and the MKB.

The invention supports delayed and background processing of title keys when binding information changes. The invention uses binding context which represents a set of data that can be used to determine if the binding information used to encrypt a set of title keys is outdated and allow for rebinding to the current cluster binding information level.

摘要： The present invention provides a communications channel to transmit a selected information flow, to select the desired information flow and transmit said stream to a predefinable receiving site. The invention makes it possible for the first time to predefine at the receiving site the communications channel for transmitting the selected information flow. The method is no longer tied to only a single communications channel, or to a set type of communications channels, but can cross different technologies and be applied to almost any type of communications channels. The communications channel can be a satellite channel or a cable channel, for example, it can also be a telephone line, a connection in a cellular phone network, a wireless link, a visual communications link or similar. The actual selection of the communications channel can be made by the recipient contacting the transmitting site over a communications channel that he specifies so that the transmission of the information flow can be initiated. The transmitting site can then commence with the transmission of the information flow over the communications channel selected by the receiving site.

The method of registering a legacy device by using a virtual client, which allows the legacy device to access a domain, includes: receiving unique information on the legacy device from the legacy device which requests the domain to register the legacy device; searching a registrable legacy device list including the unique information on the legacy device which can be registered in the domain for the unique information on the legacy device; and requesting a domain manager, which manages the domain, to register the legacy device, when the unique information on the legacy device is included in the registrable legacy device list, and not allowing the legacy device to be registered in the domain when the unique information on the legacy device is not included in the registrable legacy device list.
