摘要： An information processing apparatus includes a playback controller and a storage unit. The playback controller reads per-disc or per-title identification information in the form of a media ID recorded onto a disc, and then executes content playback selection processing or determines a playback processing mode according to bit information included in the media ID. The storage unit stores a program that causes the processing of the playback controller to be executed. By thus using the media ID, provided services, such as the content authorized for playback, can be modified.

摘要： In an apparatus capable of mounting a recording medium for recording content data, an information acquisition section acquires protection information from a server, which indicates whether or not content data supplied from the server needs to be protected. A protection determination section determines whether or not the content data needs to be protected according to the protection information. When the content data needs to be protected, an ID determination section further determines whether or not a unique identification code is provided which uniquely identifies a recording medium mounted on the apparatus. When the recording medium has the unique identification, a recording destination settling section settles that recording medium to be a content recording destination. A data acquisition section acquires content data from the server. An encryption section encrypts the acquired content data using the unique identification code. A data recording section records the encrypted content data in the recording medium settled to be the content recording destination.

The compressed audio may be used to signal computers such as a telephone or reminder for an appointment. A melody line may be extracted from the audio, or the audio may be used exactly as it is. Another aspect stores traders within the entertainment content such as in MP3. Those traders are used to trigger the system to retrieve other parts of the content to be displayed at the same time that that particular part of the MP3 is being play. The content may include video or text, or maybe links to other content such as broadband content four times sensitive content. Another aspect describes encryption which is keyed to the disk ID to prevent playing oven illegally copied disk. Another aspect reads a specified amount of information then spins down the disk to conserve battery power.

摘要： A data communication unit receives encrypted digital data via a network and records the digital data on a primary recording medium. The digital data, having been encrypted in different encryption methods according to the distributors, include attribute information indicating the encryption methods. The encryption method of the digital data is determined and the encrypted data is decrypted by an appropriate decryption unit. Identification information of a secondary recording medium or a playback apparatus is obtained according to whether the secondary recording medium is removable from the playback apparatus. A controller selects an encryption unit among a plurality of encryption units according to the obtained identification information. The selected encryption unit creates an encryption key according to the identification information and re-encrypts the digital data. A recording unit records the digital data on the secondary recording medium. An accounting unit charges according to accounting information in the attribute information.
