    • Described are perfume and fragrance compositions and perfumed articles including soaps, detergents, powders as well as colognes containing 2,2,3-trimethyl-3-cyclopenten-1-ylalkenyl and alkylidene secondary alkanols, alkanones, cycloalkanols and cycloalkanones having the generic structure: ##STR1## wherein one of the lines +++++ is a carbon-carbon double bond and the other of the lines +++++ is a carbon-carbon single bond; wherein X is carbinol having the structure: ##STR2## or carbonyl having the structure ##STR3## wherein A' is hydrogen, CH.sub.3, C.sub.2 H.sub.5 or --CH.sub.2 --; wherein B' is hydrogen, CH.sub.3, C.sub.2 H.sub.5 or --CH.sub.2 --; where n is 0, 1 or 2; wherein each of the dashed lines are the same and each represents a carbon-carbon single bond or no bond; wherein A' and B' are both --CH.sub.2 -- when n is 1 or 2 and the dashed line is a carbon-carbon single bond or A' is hydrogen and B' is C.sub.2 H.sub.5 or CH.sub.3 or both A' and B' are each CH.sub.3 or A' is C.sub.2 H.sub.5 and B' is CH.sub.3 when n is 0 and the dashed line represents no bond, which imparts thereto rich, musky, cedar woody, sandalwood, sweet, floral, ionone-like, soft-fruity (apricot), green and earthy aromas with resinous topnotes and nutty oily nuances. Also described is a process for preparing such compounds according to the reaction schemes: ##STR4## wherein the lines +++++ A', B', the dashed lines and n are as defined above wherein M is alkaline metal.

    • An antidive apparatus for a small vehicle including a telescopic front fork having a damping power generating mechanism and a disc brake apparatus for braking a front wheel associated therewith. The caliper assembly of the disc brake is pivotally supported on the axle of the front wheel and is coupled to an actuator of a contraction motion regulating apparatus of the damping power generating mechanism. In a first embodiment, a connecting rod is pivotally fixed to the lower case, is coupled with the caliper assembly about an eccentric coupling and to the actuator such that the coupling between the caliper assembly and the actuator is effected through the control rod. In another embodiment, the caliper assembly is directly coupled to the actuator with the coupling being closer to the front axle than the caliper cylinders are to the front axle.

    • A water supply control apparatus includes a flushing device to be supplied with water, a water supply valve for controlling the supply of water to the flushing device, a driving signal generator for selectively generating driving signals of first and second periods, respectively, a sensor responsive to one, at a time, of the driving signals for detecting whether there is a user of the flushing device at one of the first and second periods, to produce a sensor signal selectively including a user-present signal and a user-absent signal of the one period, and a control circuit responsive to the sensor signal for controlling the water supply valve. The control circuit includes a first control section having a switching element responsive to the user-absent signal for issuing a first switching signal to the driving signal generator to generate the driving signal of the first period and responsive to the user-present signal for issuing a second switching signal to the driving signal generator to generate the driving signal of the second period and an output element responsive to the sensor signal for issuing a water supply valve control signal, a second control section responsive to the water supply valve control signal for controlling the water supply valve, and a battery as a power supply for operating the water supply valve, the driving signal generator, the sensor, the first and second control sections. The second period is shorter than the first period.
