    • A carburetion arrangement for an internal combustion engine of a manually guided implement is provided. The arrangement includes a carburetor having an air channel, the cross-section of which is variable via a butterfly valve. An auxiliary carburetor having an auxiliary air channel is, in a flow conducting manner, connected in parallel to the air channel, whereby the auxiliary air channel opens into the air channel downstream of the butterfly valve. Disposed in the auxiliary air channel is a starting valve that includes a flow control device, wherein the starting valve alters the flow resistance of the flow control device as a function of the differential pressure that is present.

    • A diaphragm carburetor for a combustion engine having a manual starter has a housing and a control chamber arranged in the housing and filled with fuel. A suction channel is arranged in the housing and has a venturi section. A throttle flap is rotatably supported in the suction channel downstream of the venturi section in the flow direction of combustion air sucked into the suction channel. A main valve path connects a control chamber to the venturi section. An idle valve path connects the control chamber to the suction channel and opens into the suction channel at a location downstream of the throttle flap in the flow direction. A choke flap is rotatably supported in the suction channel and positioned upstream of the venturi section. The choke flap has identical cold start and warm start positions and allows a flow volume of combustion air into the suction channel sustaining engine operation after the engine has been started.

    • The invention is directed to a circuit for providing a controlled voltage supply to a microprocessor in an ignition circuit of an internal combustion engine equipped with a spark plug. The circuit includes: a generator having an induction coil and magnetic device for generating an alternating voltage in the coil; a microprocessor for controlling the spark plug; the microprocessor having first and second connecting terminals and a capacitor connected across the terminals; a thyristor having a gate electrode is connected between the induction coil and the capacitor; and, a voltage limiter is connected to the gate electrode, The controlled voltage supply for the thyristor is ensured over the entire rpm range of the engine without noticeable energy losses.

    • The invention is directed to a pump for use as a lubricating oil pump in internal combustion engines of handheld portable tools such as motor-driven chain saws or the like. The pump includes a body forming the stator and a body forming the rotor. These bodies lie coaxial with respect to each other and have respective surfaces which lie seal-tight against each other. A screw-shaped spiral slot is formed in one of these surfaces and has an input end connected to a suction connection and an output end connected with a pressure connection. According to a feature of the invention, at least the screw-shaped wall structure is made of an elastomer. This wall structure defines the spiral slot and lies against the smooth surface lying opposite thereto. An absolutely seal-tight contact engagement of the wall structure defining the spiral slot against the opposite-lying surface is assured by the elasticity of the elastomer. The service life of the pump is increased and its production and assembly simplified.
