    • An internal combustion engine has a cylinder (2) wherein a combustion chamber (3) is formed which is delimited by a piston (5) journalled to move back and forth. At least one transfer channel (14) is provided which connects the crankcase (4) of the engine to the combustion chamber (3) in at least one position of the piston (5). The engine has a supply channel (13) which opens with a supply channel inlet (11) at the cylinder bore (34). The supply channel (13) is connected to the transfer channel (14) via at least one piston pocket (22, 42) in at least one position of the piston (5). In order to achieve low exhaust-gas values of the engine, the piston pocket (22, 42) has a distance (a) to a lower edge (27) of the transfer window (15) which is less than the distance (b) to a lower edge (26) of the inlet (11) of the supply channel at bottom dead center of the piston (5). A method for operating an engine provides that the piston pocket (22, 42) is first connected to the transfer window (15) and then to the supply channel inlet (11) during the upward stroke of the piston (5).

    • An engine has a cylinder wherein a reciprocating piston is mounted. The piston drives, via a connecting rod (6), a crankshaft (7) pivotably mounted in a crankcase. The connecting rod is connected to the piston via a piston pin. An inlet window for combustion air is provided and controlled by the piston. The piston separates a combustion chamber from the crankcase interior space and has a piston base the underside of which is oriented toward the crankcase. To achieve good cooling of the piston and of the piston pin bearing, a first flow-guide element is provided within the crankcase interior space adjacent to the inlet window. The first flow-guide element redirects the combustion air flowing in through the inlet window in the direction of the underside of the piston base.

    • A two-stroke engine has a cylinder with a combustion chamber and a piston reciprocatingly supported in the cylinder. A crankshaft is rotatably supported in a crankcase and driven by the piston. At least one transfer passage connects the crankcase in at least one position of the piston with the combustion chamber and has a piston-controlled transfer port that opens into the combustion chamber and an opening that opens into the crankcase. A mixture inlet opens into the crankcase. An outlet is provided at the combustion chamber. The transfer port and the opening are displaced relative to each other in a circumferential direction of the cylinder. At least one wall section of the transfer passage forms an undercut when viewed from the crankcase in a direction of a longitudinal cylinder axis of the cylinder and is delimited by a separate component inserted into the cylinder from a side facing the crankcase.

    • Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for aggregating and visualizing reused shared lists. A method for aggregating and visualizing reused shared lists can include selecting an existing shared list, determining a topic for the selected shared list, receiving list items by rank for the determined topic, generating a new shared list with the determined topic and received list items, and storing the new shared list in association with the existing shared list. The method further can include providing a reused shared list view for all reused shared lists for a common topic. Finally, the method can include aggregating all reused shared lists for a common topic and providing a view of the aggregation with list items either for each rank for each reused shared list or in rank order for all reused shared lists for the common topic.

    • A two-stroke engine has a cylinder and a piston reciprocating in the cylinder and delimiting a combustion chamber. The piston has at least one piston recess. A crankshaft is rotatably arranged in a crankcase connected to the cylinder. A connecting rod connects piston and crankshaft. Transfer channels connect the crankcase to the combustion chamber in pre-defined piston positions. The transfer channels each have a transfer port opening into the combustion chamber. A device for supplying fuel and an air channel supplying combustion air are provided. In predetermined piston positions, the air channel is connected by the piston recess to the transfer ports. The air channel opens into the cylinder bore opposite the exhaust for the exhaust gases. The air channel, the piston recess, and the transfer channels define an air passage that provides approximately uniform distribution of air from the air channel into the transfer channels.
