    • A fuel injection apparatus for externally ignited internal combustion gas engines is proposed. The fuel injection apparatus comprises an intake pipe in which an air flow meter and a throttle valve are provided. The fuel quantity injected into the intake pipe via an injection valve is controlled by the air flow meter. To prepare the combustible mixture of injected fuel and air, a preparation air line branches off from the intake pipe between the air flow meter and the throttle valve. This preparation air line discharges into the injection valve. A throttle is provided in the preparation air line. A full-load air line discharges into the preparation air line between the throttle and injection valve. A shut-off valve is provided in the full-load air line, said shut-off valve being completely open at least during the full-load operation of the combustion engine, allowing additional air flow into the preparation air line, which air is drawn from the intake pipe upstream of the air flow meter.

    • A fuel injection valve is proposed which, especially in low-fuel-pressure systems, serves to inject fuel into the intake tube of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine with externally supplied ignition. The fuel injection valve includes a fixed valve seat cooperating with a movable valve element, downstream of which the fuel to be injected is carried into a mixture guidance channel of a mixture guidance tube and surrounded on all sides with air or exhaust gas for preparation immediately upon its entrance into the mixture guidance channel and injected via an injection opening into the intake tube. The mixture guidance channel may be embodied as tapering in conical fashion toward the injection opening. For the purpose of preliminary preparation of the fuel, secondary air or exhaust gas can already be delivered to the fuel before its entrance into the mixture guidance channel. The fuel injection valve embodied according to the invention assures optimal preparation of the fuel to be injected, even at low fuel pressures, and good running behavior of the engine in the event of abrupt changes in load.

    • A fuel injection system is proposed which serves for the improved conditioning of the fuel-air mixture fed to a mixture-compressing, spark-ignited internal combustion engine. The fuel injection system comprises preferably an injection valve at the air intake pipe wherein a conditioning member, pivotable by the amount of air introduced in opposition to a resetting force, is arranged downstream of an arbitrarily operable throttle element, this pivoting action being arranged to cause a pressure drop at the conditioning member. The fuel injection takes place through an injection valve disposed in an air bypass beyond the throttle element and the conditioning member. Due to the pressure drop produced by the conditioning member, it is ensured that, in all positions of the throttle element, a constant air stream is maintained via the air bypass, which serves for conditioning the injected fuel.

    • A fuel injection apparatus for mixture-compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engines. An air flow rate member, arranged in the air intake manifold is moved against a return force by air flowing through it to adjust a control slide of a metering and distribution assembly arranged in the fuel supply line in order to effect the apportionment of a quantity of fuel which is proportional to the air quantity. The return force is produced by a pressure fluid acting upon the control slide, the pressure of the fluid being variable in accordance with operating characteristics of the internal combustion engine. The control slide has an actuation slide contacting the air flow rate member as well as an apportionment slide, which has a projection with a smaller diameter projecting into an axial throttle bore of the actuation slide and defining a damping space in the throttle bore. The damping space is in communication with the fuel supply line via a gap between the projection and the throttle bore, and there is a bimetallic spring arranged between the apportionment slide and the actuation slide. By this means a richer fuel-air mixture is controlled at the metering and distribution assembly in accordance with the starting temperature, during starting of the engine below a predetermined temperature; the enrichment is lessened after the start in accordance with both temperature and time.

    • A fuel supply and mixture generating system for an internal combustion engine includes an air flow rate meter and, downstream thereof in the induction tube, a pivoting throttle plate actuated from the outside. Pivoting on the same shaft as the throttle plate is a mixture generating plate having a damping wing which moves in the same direction as the throttle plate in an appropriately configured wall region of the induction tube and a mixture generator wing with internal fuel channels and one or more fuel injection orifices at the edge where it defines the air flow cross section. The mixture generating plate is displaced by the air stream and this displacement is opposed by a spring. At full throttle, the force of the spring is changed by interaction of the throttle plate with the point of attachment of the spring.
