摘要： A process for controlling an oxygen content of a non-superconductive or superconductive oxide is provided, in which a beam of particles such as ions, electrons or neutrons or an electromagnetic radiation is applied to the non-superconductive or superconductive oxide of a perovskite type such as YBa.sub.2 Cu.sub.3 O.sub.7-x, thereby increasing or reducing the oxygen content of the oxide at the sites of oxygen in the crystal lattice of the oxide. Furthermore, a superconductive device such as a superconductive magnet, superconductive power transmission wire, superconductive transformer, superconductive shield, permanent current switch and electronic element is made by utilizing the process for controlling the oxygen concentration of the superconductive oxide.

摘要： A magnetic recording medium in which a non-magnetic intermediate layer made of an alloy substantially composed of at least one element selected from the group consisting of Zr, Hf, Ta, Ti and Nb is disposed between a magnetic layer formed on a substrate and a non-magnetic overcoat layer formed on the magnetic layer. Since the impact shock resistance and the vibration resistance of the magnetic recording medium can be improved and the head-medium spacing of the magnetic disc apparatus can be decreased extremely by disposing the non-magnetic intermediate layer, it can provide a increase in the recording density, particularly, in a thin film type magnetic recording medium using a metallic magnetic thin film or metal oxide thin film as the magnetic layer. It can also improve the corrosion resistance in the case of a metallic magnetic thin film type medium.

摘要： The invention provides nuclear magnetic resonance equipment realizing improved sensitivity of a probe for receiving a free induction decay (FID) signal in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy in a high frequency band of 600 MHz or higher. By manufacturing a solenoid coil of a higher filling factor by using a superconductor of extremely low resistance to high frequency current, sensitivity is increased. A superconducting thin film made of magnesium diboride (MgB2) formed on a donut plate-type substrate is disposed so that the film surface becomes parallel with the uniform magnetic field. The object is realized by a probe made by a solenoid coil formed by connecting a plurality of coil parts by capacitive coupling via a normal metal lead.

Thereby an ionic crystal is grown in a short time, which provides stable superconducting materials of high quality such as high critical temperature and low resistivity. In another aspect, a substrate is irradiated simultaneously with streams of vapor of metal elements, of which a superconductive body is to be composed, and a stream of gas of ions generated in a plasma chamber and film growth is effected while keeping the substrate at a temperature higher than 400.degree. C. to produce a ceramic type superconductive thin film.
