    • An aerosol texturing system for applying a layer of texture material on an uncoated portion of a substrate substantially to match a coated portion of the substrate, comprises an aerosol assembly, texture material, and propellant material. The aerosol assembly defines a product chamber and is selectively operable in a first mode in which the product chamber is sealed and in a second mode in which fluid is allowed to flow out of the product chamber along a dispensing passageway. The texture material and propellant material are disposed within the product chamber. The texture material has a base portion and a particulate portion containing at least one particulate material. When the aerosol assembly is in the second mode, the propellant material is adapted to force the texture material out of the aerosol assembly along the dispensing passageway and onto the uncoated portion of is the substrate.

    • Aerosol material for applying a repair coat to an uncoated portion of a substrate substantially to match a coated portion of the substrate using an aerosol assembly comprising a container defining a product chamber and a valve assembly operable in open and closed modes, the aerosol material comprising a base portion, a particulate portion, and a propellant portion. The particulate portion is made of at least one of urethane foam and melamine foam. With the valve assembly in the open mode, the propellant portion in the gas state gas state forces at least part of the base portion, the particulate portion, and the propellant portion in the liquid state out of the product chamber and onto the uncoated portion of the substrate to form the repair coat such that the repair coat substantially matches the coated portion of the substrate.

    • A system for applying texture material to a destination surface comprising a textured portion formed by a spray system and an untextured portion comprises a container and a sponge assembly. The container is flexible such that applying deliberate manual force to the container forces the texture material onto an applicator surface defined by the sponge assembly. The sponge member is resilient. When the container member is displaced along a dispensing axis towards and away from the destination surface with the applicator surface substantially parallel to the destination surface, at least a portion of the texture material on the applicator comes into contact with the untextured portion of the destination surface to transfer texture material from the applicator surface to the destination surface. At least a portion of an exposed portion of the particulate material stands out from and is visually perceptible on the untextured portion of the destination surface. The texture material forms a coat of new texture material that substantially matches an appearance of the textured portion of the destination surface formed by the spray system.

    • The present invention may be embodied as an apparatus for applying texture material to a destination surface defining a pre-textured portion formed by a spray system and an untextured portion, where the pre-textured portion comprises visually perceptible particles. The apparatus comprises a flexible container defining a container chamber, texture material arranged within the container chamber, a sponge base, and a sponge member. The application of deliberate manual force to the container forces the texture material in the container chamber out of the container member. The sponge member is angled with respect to the dispensing axis such that a visually perceptible exposed portion of the particulate material transferred to the untextured portion of the destination surface is allowed to project from the destination surface after the texture material is deposited on the destination surface.

    • A composition for forming a textured coating on drywall material, where the textured coating substantially matches a pre-existing acoustic texture material on the drywall material, comprises acoustic texture material and propellant material. The acoustic texture material comprises a base portion the base portion is capable of existing in a flowable state and a hardened state, and a particulate portion the particulate portion comprises discrete, visible particles of solidified urethane foam having irregular shapes.
