摘要： An encapsulant fluid is provided comprising a mixture of a diene-containing compound and a dienophilic compound. At least one of the diene-containing and the dienophilic compounds is protected so that the compounds do not substantially react with each other at room temperature. The diene-containing and the dienophilic compounds undergo a reversible Diels-Alder polymerization reaction at a polymerization temperature above room temperature to form a solid debondable polymeric encapsulant. Also provided are methods for forming slider assemblies and methods for patterning a slider surface using the encapsulant.

摘要： A system for injecting DNA-based medications into humans is provided by the present invention. The system includes a needle-free injector with an injection orifice of approximately 0.004 inches for supplying DNA-based medication at an initial pressure of from 3900 to 4300 psi, and then immediately declining to a level of about 2800 to 3800 psi, and then immediately cutting off pressure to terminate the injection. The injector includes an annular adapter for spacing the injection orifice from the skin of the patient. The adapter includes an abutment against which the injector is disposed so that the orifice is spaced approximately 0.76-1.0 inch from the skin of the patient, the adapter having an inner diameter at the distal end of approximately 0.50-0.70 inches.

摘要： A waveform translator in which the frequency spectrum of a repetitive non band limited input signal is translated to an equivalent frequency spectrum which is harmonically related to a fixed reference frequency. In the waveform translator a synthesized source generator and a synthesized receive generator are made coherent. The source generator drives a DUT, and the receive generator coupled to a sampler, samples the DUT to produce a non band limited difference signal harmonically related to the fixed reference frequency. The difference signal is digitized in an analog to digital converter which is clocked at the reference frequency and produces a predetermined integer number of data points per cycle corresponding to the input signal. A computer is coupled to the waveform translator for DC to 75 GHz oscillography.

摘要： A modular wall block is formed with a groove in a top surface configured to frictionally receive fingers of a rake-like connection device which may extend through apertures in an end portion of a grid-like sheet of reinforcing material. The connection device includes enlarged tabs projecting away from the fingers to engage in a widened slot defined in the bottom of superimposed wall blocks for positioning the front faces of the blocks in the retaining wall relative to each other in either a vertically aligned or vertically set back relationship depending upon the direction of extension of the tabs. The groove and the slot are formed at opposite ends of a tapered through-opening extending between top and bottom surfaces of the block. By virtue of the taper, the width of the groove is less than a width of the slot to accommodate the different portions of the connector device. Both the groove and the slot, as well as other selected depressions and recesses can be formed from one side of the block during manufacture to simplify the manufacturing equipment and minimize the cost of the wall blocks. Corner blocks are provided having perpendicular front and side surfaces with similar aesthetic patterns for forming corner portions of sections of a retaining wall extending at right angles to each other.
