    • An apparatus for and a method of judging a dotted image area using a small-capacity memory. Image data corresponding to one line out of image data representing an original image are stored in a line memory. On the line corresponding to the image data stored in the line memory, a target pixel is successively set along the main scanning direction. Image data corresponding to the target pixel is compared with image data corresponding to pixels around the target pixel. It is judged whether or not the target pixel is a peculiar point pixel on the basis of the result of the comparison. Further, the distance between peculiar point pixels is operated. The operated distance between the peculiar point pixels is referred to a predetermined judgment basis, to judge whether or not a judging area including the finite number of pixels is a dotted image area.

    • A drive circuit includes first and second circuit sections. The first circuit section maintains, during an initial stage of a transient period of an input signal, its output level before the signal transition and supplies after the transient period an output signal responsive to the signal transition. The second circuit section has a first circuit portion receiving the input signal and a second circuit portion, responsive to the input signal, and the output of the first circuit section, to accelerate the signal transition of the first circuit portion. Signal delay in a signal transition due to a large parasitic capacitance and resistance can be recovered by the drive circuit. The drive circuit has a large noise margin and operates at a high-speed and in a wide frequency range.

    • Disclosed is a radio communication system capable of reducing the cost for introducing a system utilizing RFID technology into a radio network environment. A radio communication system pertaining to the present invention includes a first radio equipment that transmits first data using a first radio wave; a data transmitter that outputs a second radio wave generated by modulating the first radio wave depending on second data which is an object for transmission; and a second radio equipment that receives the first and second radio waves and includes a separation and demodulation circuit that separates and demodulates the first data transmitted from the first radio equipment and the second data transmitted from the data transmitter included in the received radio waves. The data transmitter includes an amplifier for generating the second radio wave by amplifying the first radio wave.
