    • A transmission with a simple structure and mechanism, light-weight and compact is realized. In the transmission, a first rotation shaft coaxially fixed to a first turning transmission wheel and a second rotation shaft coaxially fixed to a second turning transmission wheel are arranged in parallel with each other. A support shaft is arranged to extend between the first turning transmission wheel and the second turning transmission wheel. An intermediary transfer wheel is provided on the support shaft rotatably and movably along the longitudinal direction of the support shaft. The intermediary transfer wheel contacts with a side peripheral surface of the first turning transmission wheel and the side peripheral surface of the second turning transmission wheel and moves longitudinally along the support shaft while maintaining the contact.

    • A method and an apparatus for testing the function of a plurality of microstructural elements by irradiation with particle radiation. All of the microstructural elements detected as malfunctioning are listed in a first error list in a first test sequence. The microstructural elements listed in the first error list are tested once more in at least one further test sequence and at least the result of the test sequence last carried out is evaluated to establish the overall test result. The first test sequence is designed so that, if possible, all of the microstructural elements which are actually malfunctioning are detected. The invention further relates to a method for producing microstructural elements which are constructed as a plurality on a substrate and are tested according to the above test method.

    • A method and apparatus for a navigation system conducts a data search for finding relative density of objects such as points of interest in a specified area and displays the result of the search in various manners. The display method includes the steps of: defining a size and shape of a search template; scanning the search template on the search area by displacing its position by a predetermined increment; counting and recording a number of objects on the search area within the search template at every increment of the displacement position, thereby creating an object distribution matrix; applying a cluster search algorithm to the object distribution matrix, thereby detecting distribution of clusters of the objects; and displaying the clusters of the objects in the search area.

    • A multi-purpose air-packing method and system enables to pack a product having an irregular shape easily at low cost. The air-packing method includes the steps of placing a product to be protected in a container box; applying a first air-packing device having a plurality of air containers to side surfaces of the product in a manner to surround the product in the container box where each of the air containers has a check valve to maintain compressed air therein independently from one another; and inflating the air-packing device by supplying compressed air to securely hold the product within the container box. Two or more consecutive air containers at one end of the first air-packing device have a cross sectional size smaller than that of other air containers.

    • A method and apparatus for easily and safely releasing a brake interlock function of a vehicle audio/video system. The vehicle audio/video system is designed to enable both a driver and a passenger to watch a video with a display unit. For safety reasons, a brake interlock function is incorporated to disable the display unit when the vehicle is in motion. The brake interlock function is released if the display unit is installed for passengers in the rear seats. Various release devices including a mechanical and an electrical switch are disclosed for releasing the brake interlock function for the display unit in the vehicle audio/video system. The release device is established within a display compartment mounted on a front or middle seat when the display unit is installed in the display compartment.
