摘要： The present invention relates to a drilling tool and method for modifying a blind hole in a blade root insert of a wind turbine. The invention further relates to an apparatus and method for cleaning a blind hole. The method for modifying a blind hole comprises: removing a blade screw located in the blind hole, inserting a drilling tool into the blind hole, fixing the drilling tool in a drill, recessing the blind hole by a predetermined depth, with a maximum diameter of the end section and of the hole bottom after recessing being smaller than or equal to a diameter of the end section prior to recessing and a transition from the end section to the hole bottom being round after recessing, removing the drilling tool and the drill, mounting the blade screw in the modified blind hole.

Each major cutting edge is disposed in a convex course along a respective chip groove of the at least two chip grooves. The major cutting edges define with their radially outermost region a nominal diameter. A radial distance from each major cutting edge to the center axis in a front, tip-side, arc portion increases up to the nominal diameter and in a rear, shank-side, arc portion decreases back down to a minimum diameter.

摘要： A bit for removing a broken fastener comprises a tip from which extend two or more notches separated by traction or biting surfaces formed from two-sided frusto-conically-shaped regions. The surfaces are bounded on one side by a nonlinear cutting edge and on the other side by a non-cutting edge and are configured to cut into the fastener when the bit is rotated in a direction opposite to the fastener's direction of engagement. Specific embodiments include configurations where the cutting edges extend at different angles with respect to the bit axis, where the biting surfaces comprise a plurality of serrations, and where the cutting edges are separated by flutes which spiral along a longitudinally extending periphery of the bit.

Chip evacuating flutes, which are open on front flanks of the drill body and are extended rearwards, are formed in a periphery of the drill body on its front side. Cutting edges are formed along ridge lines where the front flanks intersect with wall surfaces of the chip evacuating flutes facing a drill rotating direction. At least first and second front flanks are formed on the front flanks in order of their locations in the drill rotating direction from its leading side to its trailing side. A clearance angle of the second front flank is greater than that of the first front flank. Intersection lines of the first and second front flanks cross the cutting edges.

摘要： A spade drill bit has a shaft and a spade head portion arranged on the shaft. The head portion has a rearward facing bottom edge, two longitudinal sides and a forward facing cutting edge. The cutting edge has a pointed, generally triangularly shaped tip and outer ends. The longitudinal sides of the head portion are bent along a bend in a direction of rotation of the drill bit during operation, so that the outer ends are bent forwards in the rotating direction. The bend runs from a first position at one of the longitudinal sides, closer to the bottom edge than to the cutting edge, and to a second position at the cutting edge between the outer end and the tip.

摘要： A drill has a helical flute surface, a flank face, and a thinning face. A ridgeline between the thinning face and the flank face constitutes a thinning cutting edge.
