摘要： A fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin filament is obtained by impregnating a continuous reinforcing fiber with a thermoplastic resin, and satisfies all of conditions (a) to (c). (a) The volume ratio of a reinforcing fiber in a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin filament is 30 to 80%; and the volume ratio of a thermoplastic resin in a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin filament is 70 to 20%. (b) The thickness of a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin filament is 0.01 to 3 mm. (c) The length of a filament contained in a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin filament is 1 m or more.

摘要： A modified fiber and a method for producing the same. The modified fiber is obtained by modifying a fiber material containing at least one of a cellulosic fiber and an animal fiber. In the modified fiber, a film of a silicone elastomer is attached to at least a portion of a surface of the fiber material, the silicone elastomer contains a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether having 12 to 15 carbon atoms as a main component and has a siloxane skeleton, and the surface has a surface tension of 30 to 70 mN/m.

摘要： Hydrophilic siloxane copolymers are prepared by (a) reacting organopolysiloxanes having at least one Si-bonded hydrogen atom with substantially linear oligomeric or polymeric compounds of formula R1-(A-CnH2n)m-A1-H (I) where R1 is a monovalent optionally substituted, hydrosilylatable hydrocarbyl radical, A is a bivalent polar organic radical selected from —O—, —C(O)—O—, —O—C(O)—, —O—C(O)—O—, —C(O)—NH—, —NH—C(O)—, urethane radicals and urea radicals, A1 is a bivalent polar organic radical selected from —O—, —NH— and —NR′—, n is an integer from 1 to 20, and m is zero or a positive integer, (b) reacting the resulting intermediate with organic compounds which have two or more isocyanate groups, in the presence of further organic compounds (6) reactive toward isocyanate groups and containing at least one tertiary amine group, and (c) quaternizing the amino-group-containing intermediate from step (b) with an alkylating agent (8), with the proviso that the water content of the compounds (1) and (2) is lower than 2000 weight ppm.

摘要： The present invention provides nonwoven fabrics that include a first level and a second level wherein the first level includes first fibers that include a polyolefin and a first amount of an additive or a combination of additives to improve wettability and the second level includes second fibers that include a second amount of an additive or a combination of additives to improve wettability wherein the second amount of an additive or a combination of additives to improve wettability is essentially zero or is less than the first amount of an additive or a combination of additives to improve wettability. In one desirable embodiment, the wettability of the fabric is temperature dependent and may decrease as the temperature decreases. Such fabrics may be useful as components in absorbent products, for example liners and surge management layers, by providing components that are wettable during an initial insult and then decrease in wettabilty as the insult cools to discourage flow back of the insult.
