摘要： The present invention relates to a process for preparing a porous material, at least comprising the steps of providing a mixture (I) comprising a water soluble polysaccharide, at least one compound suitable to react as cross-linker for the polysaccharide or to release a cross-linker for the polysaccharide, and water, and preparing a gel (A) comprising exposing mixture (I) to carbon dioxide at a pressure in the range of from 20 to 100 bar for a time sufficient to form a gel (A), and depressurizing the gel (A). Gel (A) subsequently is exposed to a water miscible solvent (L) to obtain a gel (B), which is dried. The invention further relates to the porous materials which can be obtained in this way and the use of the porous materials as thermal insulation material, for cosmetic applications, for biomedical applications or for pharmaceutical applications.

摘要： Articles, including water bottle(s) having a weight from 200 to 800 grams comprising a polyester composition comprising at least one polyester which comprises: (a) a dicarboxylic acid component comprising terephthalic acid residues; optionally, aromatic dicarboxylic acid or aliphatic dicarboxylic acid residues; and (b) a glycol component comprising 30 to 40 mole % of 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol residues; and 60 to 70 mole % of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol residues; wherein the total mole % of the dicarboxylic acid component is 100 mole %, and the total mole % of the glycol component is 100 mole and the inherent viscosity of the polyester is from 0.50 to 0.68 dl/g as determined in 60/40 (wt/wt) phenol/tetrachloroethane at a concentration of 0.5 g/100 ml at 25° C.; and wherein the polyester has a Tg of from 100 to 140° C.; and wherein the polyester composition contains no polycarbonate.

摘要： Coatings are provided in which surfaces may be activated by covalently bonding a combination of silane derivatives (A) to the metal surface, covalently bonding a lactone polymer (B) to the silane derivative by in situ ring opening polymerization, and depositing at least one layer of a polyester (C) on the bonded lactone polymer. Biologically active agents or therapeutic compounds may be deposited with any of the polyester layers. Such coated surfaces may be useful in medical devices, in particular stents.

An exemplary embodiment of the fixing belts includes an inner layer comprising a first surface forming an inner surface of the fixing belt and a second surface opposite to the first surface, the inner layer comprising a first polymer; an intermediate layer overlying the second surface of the inner layer, the intermediate layer including a third surface, a first end face and a second end face opposite to the first end face, the intermediate layer comprising silicone rubber; and an outer layer including a fourth surface forming an outer surface of the fixing belt, the outer layer overlying the third surface, the first end face, the second end face and portions of the second surface disposed outward from the first end face and second end face, the outer layer comprising a second polymer. The outer layer seals and protects the intermediate layer from exposure to a liquid release agent applied to the fourth surface.

摘要： Described are polyester compositions comprising at least one polyester which comprises terephthalic acid residues, 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-l,3-cyclobutanediol, and 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol, wherein the inherent viscosity of said polyester is from 0.55 to 0.68 dL/g as determined in 60/40(wt/wt) phenol/tetrachloroethane at a concentration of 0.5 g/100 ml at 25° C.; wherein said polyester has a Tg from 110 to 160° C.; wherein the polyester composition comprises no polycarbonate; wherein the melt viscosity of the polyester is less than 10,000 poise as measured at 1 radian/second on a rotary melt rheometer at 290° C.; and wherein the polyester has a notched Izod impact strength, of at least 7.5 ft-lb/in.ch at 23° C. according to ASTM D256 with a 10-mil notch in a ⅛ inch thick bar. The polyesters may be manufactured into articles of manufacture as fibers, films, bottles or sheets.

摘要： A polysiloxane coating composition comprises (a) about 5 to about 50 wt % of solids complementally comprising about 2 to about 30 wt % of a silica; about 0.25 to about 7 wt % of a partial condensate of an aminosilane; and about 2 to about 90 wt % of a partial condensate of a tri-functional silane having the formula RSi(OR′)3, wherein R is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, vinyl, and aryl radicals and R′ is selected from the group consisting of H., alkyl radicals having 1 to 4 carbons, and alkylcarbonyl radicals having 1 to 4 carbons; and (b) about 50 to about 95 wt % of solvent comprising about 10 to about 90 wt % of a lower aliphatic alcohol and about 10 to about 90 wt % of water. The coating composition has a pH level in the range of about 2 to about 6.
