摘要： Lubricant formulations containing a combination, which has a synergistic action in respect of metal deactivation, composed of 1-[di-(2-ethylhexyl)-aminomethyl]-benztriazole which is methylated in the benzene ring in the 4-position and/or 5-position, and an antioxidant selected from a small group of antioxidants. Further additives can be added to these lubricant formulations. The compositions mentioned above reduce the abrasion phenomena in the components to be lubricated if they are added to mineral and synthetic lubricating oils, hydraulic fluids and lubricating greases.

摘要： A selective bifunctional sequential linker has the formulaY.dbd.C.dbd.N--Q--A--C(O)--Zwherein Q is a homoaromatic or heteroaromatic ring system; A is a single bond or an unsubstituted or substituted divalent C.sub.1-30 bridging group; Y is O or S; and Z is Cl, Br, I, N.sub.3, N-succinimidyloxy, imidazolyl, 1-benzotriazolyloxy, OAr where Ar is an electron-deficient activating aryl group, or OC(O)R where R is --A--Q--N.dbd.C.dbd.Y or C.sub.4-20 tertiary-alkyl. A method for activating an amine function towards reaction with a second amine involves reacting the amine with the foregoing linker. The resultant isocyanate or isothiocyanate derivative can then be reacted with a second amine to form a urea or thiourea conjugate.The linker is useful for producing conjugates of ligands with amine-containing polymers and/or proteins, especially for forming antibody conjugates with chelators, drugs, enzymes, detectable labels and the like.

摘要： Phenoxy-aminopropanol derivatives of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is lower alkyl, X is oxygen or sulfur, n is the integer zero or 1, Y is methylene, ethylene or propylene or, when n is zero, Y can also be a group of the formula ##STR2## wherein the double-bond is trans and the carbon atom marked with an asterisk is linked to Z, and Z is a 5-membered aromatic heterocyclic ring which contains one or more nitrogen atoms as the sole hetero atom (s), said heterocyclic ring is linked to Y via a nitrogen atom, and may be substituted by halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, aryl, cyano or carboxamido, or on adjacent carbon atoms by a group of the formula--(CH.sub.2).sub.4 -- (b)or--CH.dbd.CH--CH.dbd.CH--, (c)and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof are described. A process for the preparation of the compound of formula I and pharmaceutical preparations containing them are also described. The aforementioned compounds and salts possess .beta.-adrenergic blocking activity and antihypertensive activity.

摘要： A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is described which comprises a support having thereon a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the photographic light-sensitive material therein contains a blocked photographic agent capable of releasing a photographically useful agent and the blocked photographic agent has a carbonyl group or thiocarbonyl group to which a hydrogen atom or a carbon atom is directly bonded and is substituted with a photographically useful group which is capable of being released upon an intramolecular nucleophilic attack by the oxygen atom in the carbonyl group or the sulfur atom in the thiocarbonyl group.The precursor of photographic agent is completely stable during storage prior to use of the photographic light-sensitive material, and releases a photographic agent at a desired time upon the processing of the photographic light-sensitive material. The precursor also exhibits its function to a substantial degree in a relatively low pH range. A method of forming an image using the silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is also described.

摘要： New N-heteroarylalkylenediamine ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each independently is hydrogen, an alkyl radical containing up to 6 carbon atoms, or a benzyl radical,X is an alkylene radical containing 2 to 6 carbon atoms,A is a mono- or bicyclic heteroaromatic radical, which can be partly hydrogenated, with the proviso that it contains 2 or 3 adjacent ring heteroatoms, whereby the bound ring heteroatoms can be an oxygen atom and a nitrogen atom or 2 or 3 nitrogen atoms, andR.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 each independently is hydrogen, or an alkyl radical containing up to 6 carbon atoms, which can be substituted by hydroxyl, carbamyl, nitrile or carboxyl, an alkenyl radical containing 2 to 6 carbon atoms, a phenyl or carbamyl radical or one of the divalent substituents oxygen or sulphur,or a salt thereof. The compounds are intermediates in the synthesis of cardioactive compounds.
