摘要： A thermal insulation injection gun includes a pointed nozzle that prevents blocking of the nozzle by a distal panel of a building cavity and/or by pre-existing insulation within the cavity. In embodiments, the pointed nozzle can be pressed through a panel, thereby forming the injection hole. An enhancement port can be provided through which an enhancing material such as a carrier fluid, particulate or fibrous insulating material, a binder, or a fire retardant can be added and mixed with the insulating material. Embodiments include expanding nozzle wings that can compress pre-existing insulation to create a space on a proximal or distal side thereof for injecting the insulation. A compressible sheath installed over the nozzle can prevent dripping of excess insulation from the panel hole. Exchangeable collars can be used to fix an insertion depth of the nozzle and/or to block selected lateral dispensing ports of the nozzle.

摘要： A device adapted to deliver an insulation enhancing polyurethane foam within profiles used in doors, windows and related applications comprising an insulating material supply member (1) extending into a polyurethane forming and discharge member (2) adapted to enter and move linearly along a chamber (25, 35) of a thermally insulated sash or frame profile assembly and deliver therein a polyurethane foam that absolutely abuts onto the walls of the chamber without exerting undesirable stresses thereupon. The insulating material supply member (1) comprises independent pipes (8, 9) delivering a polyol constituent (A) and an isocyanate constituent (B) that are mixed together with a supply of air within a mixing compartment (4) of the polyurethane forming and discharge member (2) to produce the desired insulating material. The polyurethane supplying assembly starts injection at one end of the profile bar having an industrial standard length and moves rearwards to fill the chamber with the polyurethane insulating material.

A dispenser proximate the opening moves across at least a portion of the opening while dispensing an amount of a foam agent into the volume through the opening. A press has three platens, a third platen of which is secured to at least one of a portion of the first and/or second facer and the at least one side member and is moveable with respect to the first platen and the second platen in response to a control system.

摘要： A cavity between inner and outer walls of an open-box-shaped mold is filled with a polyurethane reaction mixture, containing an isocyanate and an emulsion of an isocyanate-reactive composition with three polyols and a blowing agent, which is cured to a polyurethane containing polymer. The inner and outer wall are a fixed distance from one another and each wall comprises a bottom and sides. The mixture is fed through an inlet in the bottom of the outer wall. Before filling the cavity, the mold is turned downwards so that the mixture foams upwards, filling the cavity. The three polyols are polyether polyol obtained by adding an epoxy to carbohydrates or difunctional or higher-functional alcohols; polyether polyol obtained by adding an epoxy to an aromatic amine; and polyester polyether polyol obtained by adding an epoxy to the esterification product of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid derivative and a difunctional or higher-functional alcohol.

摘要： The invention relates to a process for the production of prefoamed poly(meth)acrylimide (P(M)I) particles which can be further processed to give foam mouldings or composites. A feature of this process is that a polymer granulate is first heated and thus prefoamed in an apparatus by means of IR radiation of a wavelength suitable for this purpose. Said granulate can be further processed in subsequent steps, e.g. in a press mould with foaming to give a moulding or a composite workpiece with foam core.
