摘要： An alginate-polyacrylamide IPN hydrogel formulation for 3D printing using a dual syringe system where the components that initiate polymerization of each network remain separated until printing. The dual syringe system may use a single motor and mixing head to combine both parts of the hydrogel formulation for controlled polymerization of the material. The elastic and time-dependent viscoelastic properties (stress relaxation) are tuned to match mammalian tissues by changing the crosslink density and monomer concentration. The fracture energy of the material may be increased by soaking in a calcium chloride solution. The resulting IPN polymer material may find application in soft tissue medical simulation devices, particularly because the mechanical properties may be tuned to mimic the elastic and viscoelastic properties of muscle tissue and may be 3D printed in the shape of anatomical parts.

摘要： The present invention provides an improved process for mixing castable polyurethanes and polyureas and for prolonging the dispensing time for dispensing them into a golf ball mold for application to a golf ball sub-assembly. A nozzle framework includes support housing heaters and heater adaptors for each dispensing port to delay the onset of drool and improve cut off in the dispensing tubes. The combination of fluorinated dispensing ports, the heating of the polyureas or polyurethanes, and inclusion of a capillary orifice in each dispensing port significantly prolongs the time before the advent of drool is detected.

摘要： A method and system are provided for injecting a color component into a plural component coating dispensing system. Base, cure and color components are pumped from respective containers at metered volume. The color component, which is preferably a low-viscosity automotive paint is injected into the either the base or cure stream at a point immediately prior to mixing all components in a dispensing device for dispensing the resulting colored fluid mixture onto a surface to be coated. The mixture may be dispensed by pouring or spraying onto the surface. The method and system are particularly useful for mixing and dispensing colored polyurethane or polyurea coatings, such as for spray-on truck bed liners.

摘要： A motionless mixer tube for mounting on the end of a discharge nozzle of a dispensing device for mixing and dispensing extremely small volumes of a pair of liquid materials, such as chemical reacting resins. The mixer tube has an elongated housing with a female luer lock at one end for mounting the tube on the dispensing device, and a male luer lock on the other end for easily mounting a dispensing needle on the outlet end of the housing. A helical motionless mixer element is mounted in a bore of the tube housing and extends from immediately adjacent the outlet end of an inlet socket of the female luer lock to immediately adjacent the outlet end of a discharge nozzle of the male luer lock. The dispensing needle is mounted immediately adjacent the outlet end of the discharge nozzle and mixer element. This arrangement avoids dead spaces within the mixer tube to prevent the formation of disruptive air bubbles therein and enables secure and rapid attachments at both ends of the tube.

The multi-component fluid mixing devices include one or both of a serpentine flow path and an attachment point decoupled from an inlet of the multi-component fluid mixing devices. The method of use includes switching between multi-component fluid mixing devices with different length flow paths, while retaining a constant position of the outlet of the multi-component fluid mixing devices. A manufacturing method includes fusing two halves of a multi-component fluid mixing device together with mixing elements in a serpentine flow path captured in a mixer wall formed between the two halves of the multi-component fluid mixing device.
