    • The keyless engine starting system includes a turning shaft 93 connected to a handle lock for locking and unlocking. The keyless engine starting system also includes a knob 92 having a cylindrical support portion which is turnably fitted along an outer periphery of the shaft 93. The shaft 93 is in engagement with a pawl 33 when the knob 92 is in a predetermined lock position to limit the turning motion of the shaft 93. The engagement of pawl 33 with respect to the shaft 93 is released in response to a releasing signal from outside. The keyless engine starting system also includes a click ball 95, a spring 94 and a recess 922 which form a torque limiter mechanism for connecting the knob 92 with the shaft 93. If the shaft 93 is forcibly turned, the knob 92 turns free without engaging the shaft 93.

    • An object is to provide a drive apparatus for an injection molding machine which can generate a large thrust force and can provide short-cycled continuous drive. The drive apparatus includes a housing (11); a tubular linear motor (14) including a movable element (12) disposed within the housing (11) in a manner capable of advancing and retreating, and a stationary element (13) attached to the housing (11), the linear motor (14) serving as a first drive section; a member-to-be-driven (15) caused to advance and retreat together with the movable element (12); and a second drive section attached to the housing (11) and disposed such that at least a portion of the second drive section overlaps the linear motor (14) along the axial direction. By merely a slight increase in a radial dimension, the area of a permanent magnet (23) of the movable element (12) can be sufficiently increased, and the capacity of the linear motor (14) can be increased.

    • An object is to provide a mold-clamping apparatus (10) which can sufficiently increase accuracy of mold opening and closing. The mold-clamping apparatus (10) includes a first stationary member to which a stationary mold (15) is attached; a first movable member disposed in opposition to the first stationary member and to which a movable mold (16) is attached; a second movable member which is advanced and retreated in association with advancement and retreat of the first movable member; a mold-clamping-force transmission member connecting the first and second movable members; and a drive section for mold opening and closing, the drive section advancing and retreating the first movable member to thereby effect mold opening and closing. The drive section for mold opening and closing overlaps the mold-clamping-force transmission member at least partially. Since the drive section for mold opening and closing and the drive section for mold clamping are provided independently of each other, the drive section for mold opening and closing and the first movable member can be connected directly. Accordingly, the accuracy of mold opening and closing can be enhanced sufficiently.
