摘要： A flywheel system includes a fixture providing a base and a stator, rotor having a cavity to receive the stator, a generator/motor module having a plurality of permanent magnets mechanically coupled to the rotor and an active magnetic bearing module. The active magnetic bearing module includes a plurality of magnetizable elements mechanically coupled to or integrated in the rotor, and a plurality of electromagnets mechanically coupled to a shaft and configured to magnetically couple with the plurality of first magnetizable elements to actively stabilize the rotor relative to the fixture. The windings of the generator/motor module are arranged around the rotation axis of the rotor at a first distance from the rotation axis of the rotor, the electromagnets of the active magnetic bearing module are arranged around the rotation axis of the rotor at a second distance, and the first distance is greater than or equal to the second distance.

摘要： A mower having a supplemental battery charging station mounted thereon is provided. The mower utilizes a flywheel/alternator arrangement to output a selected voltage. The voltage is directed to the supplement battery charging station. The supplemental batteries are thereby charged at the charging station as the mower is driven forward or in another direction. The lawn mower also includes a rack (which may be in the form of a hook) to carry a battery powered supplemental lawn maintenance tool, such as a weed trimmer, hedger, edger, or leaf blower, amongst others.

摘要： An outdoor power unit, such as a mower or snow thrower, having a supplemental battery charging station mounted thereon is provided. The outdoor power unit utilizes a flywheel/alternator arrangement to output a selected voltage. The voltage is directed to the supplement battery charging station. A ventilation clearance communicating with the annular clearance is formed between the bottom wall portion and the cover bottom wall portion. Vent holes communicating the ventilation clearance with an outside of the yoke are provided through the bottom wall portion and the cover bottom wall portion.

摘要： A permanent magnet motor has a number of permanent magnets forming permanent magnet poles. Each magnet has an outer surface that is an arc surface with a convex middle. An inner surface of the magnet is a curved surface with a concave middle. The curved surface has an arc surface section and two planar surface sections. The arc surface has a pole arc angle α of 0.7 to 0.96, and the ratio of an arc angle β of the arc surface section to the pole arc angle α is 0.15 to 0.35. The shape of the inner surface of the magnet creates uneven air gaps between the rotor poles and the stator core poles. This reduces cogging torque, increases the motor efficiency, and reduces the motor noise.
