    • PURPOSE: A system and a method for analyzing a DNA which uses STM are provided to analyze a base sequence of DNA by using STM(Scanning Tunneling Microscope) or SET(Single Electron Transistor). CONSTITUTION: A DNA(Deoxyribo-Nucleic Acid) is arranged on a flat plate. A location of a probe is initialized. One end of the DNA approaches the probe by using a positioner. A signal is obtained by scanning one end of the DNA to a wide area. A scanning area is determined from a signal of a corresponding location. The signal is obtained by scanning the determined minute area.
