    • A method for interface an IPABX and a local exchange includes the steps of: processing a call originated from an IPABX by a local exchange having one discernible individual by binding a plurality of data transmission lines, that is, a data transmission line trunk group; and processing a call destined to the IPABX through the local exchange. Since the directory number can be managed by a group name, stepping up from the method for fixing the directory number to the line, the expense for the line can be reduced. In addition, the problem of separation between the origination line and the destination line as in the conventional method that the trunk line and the PRI line are together used is settled. Moreover, since there is no need to allocate an additional signaling point, an expense possibly incurred for the allocation of a signaling point and consumption of the signaling point resource can be prevented.

    • The trunk connecting device comprises a CEPT/T1 converting unit connected to an ISDN switching system or an ISDN PABX, for selecting a CEPT mode or a T1 mode; a primary rate transceiver connected to the CEPT/T1 converting unit, for transceiving information to/from other office in a primary rate of CEPT or T1 mode; a frame aligner connected to the primary rate transceiver, for controlling information on line coding method, frame form, channel allotting signal, CRC and alarm according to the frame structure of CEPT mode or T1 mode; a B channel switching unit connected to the frame aligner, for switching the B channel information on a primary rate time slot to a PCM time slot to transmit it to a switch matrix of a system and switching the B channel information on the PCM time slot to the primary rate time slot to transmit it to the frame aligner; a D channel control unit connected to the frame aligner and B channel switching unit, for transmitting only D channel information of the CEPT or T1 information to a higher level of the system or receiving the D channel information from the higher level via a serial port and inserting it into a primary rate frame structure; a central processing unit for controlling the whole device by using the program in an EEPROM; a reset unit for a power on reset or a manual reset; a monitoring unit for displaying the state of the device on the CRT of the PC according to the central processing unit or displaying an alarm or the kind of alarm by flickering an LED; and a clock generating unit for supplying a clock required by the system.

    • PURPOSE: An interfacing apparatus and method between an ISDN private automatic branch exchange and a public exchange are provided to reduce an expense of a line and prevent a waste of a signaling point resource by interfacing an IPABX and a public exchange by forming a PRI relay group and assigning a pre digit for identifying the PRI relay group and distributively processing a call destined to the IPABX by each subsystem of the public exchange. CONSTITUTION: A PRI relay group database manages information defining a connection relation of a data transmission line connecting IPBAXs(10-1 - 10-3), an SSP(20), a main processor controlling a subsystem of a subscriber, and an SNP(40), a processor related to switching and translation of a prefix of a destination call or an origination call in association with the pertinent SSP(20), so that PRI relay groups(30-1 - 30-3) can be embodied as one device. The PRI relay group database is shared by the pertinent SSP(20) and the SNP(40), or separately mounted in them, and includes five databases(DB1-DB5). The first database(DB1) is mounted only at the SNP(40) and is an information database for the assigned line number in the SSPs(20-1-20-3) per each PRI relay group(30-1 - 30-3). The second database(DB2) is shared by the SNP(40) and every SSP(20-1 - 20-3) and is a PRI relay group information database. The third database(DB3) is mounted only in the SSPs(20-1-20-3) and is a line information index of SSPs(20-1 - 20-3) per each PRI relay group(30-1 - 30-3). The fourth database(DB4) is mounted only in the SSPs(20-1 - 20-3) and is a PRI relay group line information database of the SSPs(20-1 - 20-3). The fifth database(DB5) is shared by the SNP(40) and SSPs(20-1 - 20-3) and is a PRI relay group pre-digit information database of the SSPs(20-1 - 20-3).
