    • The present invention relates to an anode for a direct carbon fuel cell and to a direct carbon fuel cell including the same and, more particularly, to an anode for a direct carbon fuel cell containing porous metal, which is an electrode for a direct carbon fuel cell having molten carbonate or molten hydroxide as electrolyte, and to a direct carbon fuel cell including the anode, a cathode, and the electrolyte. According to the present invention, the surface area of the electrodes is maximized by using the porous metal having a wide surface area, the contact area between the electrode and the fuel is increased by allowing fuel particles to penetrate the porous metal, and the surface of the porous metal is coated with an oxide to improve wettability. Accordingly, triple phase boundary contact is maximized, and the efficiency of the fuel cell can be significantly improved by solving the problem of discontinuous fuel supply.
