    • PURPOSE: An electro chemistry-catalytic converter for discharging exhaust gases is provided to remove hydrocarbons and suspended articles through decomposing nitrogen oxides by electro-chemistry reactions to make nitrogen and nitrogen oxide carbon monoxides and suspended articles are decomposed to make water and CO2. CONSTITUTION: An electro chemistry-catalytic converter for discharging exhaust gases comprises one or more cell modules(10), an input unit of recirculation gases(50), an output unit of the recirculation gases(60), a circulation pump of the recirculation gases(90), an input unit of exhaust gases(30), an output unit of the exhaust gases(40). One or more cell modules comprise cathode compartments, anode compartments, membrane electrode assemblies and a heating unit. The input unit of recirculation gases(50) and the output unit of the recirculation gases(60) are connected to both sides of the anode compartments . The circulation pump of the recirculation gases is connected to the input unit of recirculation gases and the output unit of the recirculation gases. The input unit of exhaust gases(30) and the output unit of the exhaust gases(40) are connected to the both sides of the cathode compartments. The heating unit heats the membrane electrode assemblies until a working temperature in order that electromotive forces are generated from the membrane electrode assemblies. Nitric oxides in exhaust gases are decomposed to make nitrogen from the membrane electrode assemblies. Carbon monoxides in the exhaust gases, suspended articles and hydrocarbons catalyse to make water and CO2.
