    • PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve brightness by arranging a fluorescent material layer in a discharge space between substrates and to reduce reflective brightness. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate(3) and a second substrate(1) are arranged in order to be faced each other. A plurality of address electrodes is arranged at one side of the first substrate. A plurality of sign electrodes is arranged at one side of the second substrate to a direction crossing with the plurality of address electrodes. A red fluorescent material layer(8R), a green fluorescent material layer(8G), and a blue fluorescent material layer(8B) are arranged in a discharge space between the second substrate and the first substrate. The red, green, and blue fluorescent material layers comprise phosphor powder in which metal is coated.

    • PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve light emitting efficiency by increasing optical extraction efficiency due to the slope of the fluorescent material layer. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate(110) and a second substrate(120) are arranged to face each other. A plurality of sustain electrode pairs is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate in a first direction. A plurality of address electrodes(122) are arranged in a second substrate crossing the sustain electrode pair on the second substrate. A first dielectric layer(114) is arranged on the second substrate in order to cover the address electrode. A discharge reinforcement layer(123a,123b) is formed on the first dielectric layer. A fluorescent material layer(125) is spread inside a discharge cell.

    • A plasma display panel is provided to decrease the weight of the plasma display panel by excluding the separate backplane substrate. The substrate(110) is comprised of the transparent material or the semi-transparent the material. The partition(120) is for dividing the discharge cell(180) which is the discharge space. The side of partition is covered with the protective layer(120a). The discharge electrode(130) is made of the first discharge electrode(131) and the second discharge electrode(132) which is separated from the first discharge electrode. The sealing member(140) is arranged in the lower part of partition. The discharge cell is sealed by the sealing member. The frit(150) is coated between the substrate and the sealing member. The frit guide(160) is formed on the sealing member. The fluorescent material layer(170) is formed in the fluorescence groove(110a) of the substrate according to the discharge cell of red and blue and green. The signal transmission means(190) is made of conducting wire(191).
