    • A glass substrate with electromagnetic shielding effect and a plasma display panel having the same are provided to exclude a separate cover filter and filter fixing structure by forming the electromagnetic shielding structure on the surface of the glass substrate. A glass substrate comprises a plurality of metallic crystal grains(110) and metal net structure. The metal net structure is diffused according to the grain boundaries of metallic crystal grains to electrically connect metallic crystal grains. An electromagnetic shielding structure(150) is formed on the surface of the glass substrate. The metallic crystal grain comprises Al or Ag. The metallic crystal grains are grown up with the thermal process about the motor glass substrate(100') with precipitation. The thermal process about the motor glass plate is performed by the laser irradiation.

    • A plasma display panel and the method for manufacturing the substrate are provided to absorb the external light from outside by forming the external light shielding layer having the color of the black color range. The laser beam outputted from the laser unit(500) is irradiated along the inner focus of the first substrate through the surface (301a) of the first substrate(301). The desired external light shielding layer(320) is formed in the surface of the first substrate without the generation of any crack inside the first substrate. The manufactured color of the external light shielding layer has the color which is same as the black color range. The first substrate having the big energy band gap has the transparent color. The visible light penetrates the first substrate. The external reflect luminance of the panel is reduced by the external light shielding layer.
