    • A drive distance displaying device of a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to enhance accuracy for a value of drive distance by computing not with a fixed fuel efficiency but with a variable fuel efficiency after feeding fuel and to prevent the drive distance from suddenly changing by subtracting a calibration value of initial drive distance from the drive distance based on the variable fuel efficiency. A drive distance displaying device of a vehicle comprises a fuel remaining amount detecting unit measuring a fuel amount in a fuel tank; an oiling hole detecting unit monitoring an opened/closed state of the fuel injection hole; a speed detecting unit sensing a speed of the vehicle; a control unit calculating a variable fuel efficiency based on data output from the fuel remaining amount detecting unit, the oiling hole detecting unit, and a speed detecting unit and computing an initial drive distance after feeding fuel based on the variable fuel efficiency and a preset fixed fuel efficiency; and a display unit representing signals output from the control unit into a value. The variable fuel efficiency is calculated that a driving distance from previously detected point of closed oiling hole to signal input point of open fuel injection hole is divided by fuel consumption. The control unit is composed of a microprocessor operated by a preset program and a memory storing the input data. The preset program performs a first stage judging whether to start feeding oil into the oil tank(S200); a second stage calculating a variable fuel efficiency from the previous oiling finish point to the current oiling start point(S210); a third stage detecting a fuel remaining amount after feeding fuel(S220); a fourth stage calculating an initial drive distance after feeding fuel based on the preset fixed fuel efficiency, the variable fuel efficiency, and the fuel remaining amount(S230~S260); and a fifth stage displaying the calculated initial drive distance(S270).

    • PURPOSE: A fuel efficiency displaying device for a vehicle is provided to optimize a system and to remove a measuring error of fuel efficiency by utilizing components of an engine management system. CONSTITUTION: A fuel efficiency displaying device includes an input signal section(20), an electronic control section(30) and a display section(40). The input signal section(20) has a fuel injection amount signal(22), an engine R.P.M signal(21) and a vehicle speed signal(23). The fuel injection amount signal(22) is measured by calculating a basic fuel injection amount based on intake air and an engine R.P.M and adding an air/fuel ratio correction to the basic fuel injection amount. The engine R.P.M signal(21) is obtained by calculating an ignition time in an engine control unit. The display section(40) displays an output of the electronic control section(30) as visual information.
