    • The present invention relates to an apparatus for displaying fuel efficiency which comprises a plurality of sensors transferring sensing information by sensing one among the displacement, fluid pressure of a joystick, and the pressure of a pump; an alternator outputting voltage which indicates engine torque; a key switch transferring key insertion information when a key is inserted; an engine control unit calculating engine RPM, instantaneous fuel efficiency, and torque data; a display unit including at least one among an eco symbol displaying instantaneous work-load, an eco gauge displaying average fuel efficiency, and a fuel system displaying the instantaneous fuel efficiency or the average fuel efficiency; an equipment control unit displaying the eco symbol of the display unit depending on the current state of equipment, calculating the average fuel efficiency using the instantaneous fuel efficiency and the torque data obtained from the engine control unit, and displaying the calculated average fuel efficiency or the instantaneous fuel efficiency through the eco gauge of the display unit and the fuel system, after determining the current state of the equipment depending on the engine RPM received from the engine control unit, the key insertion information received from the key switch, and the sensing information received from the plurality of the sensors; and a memory unit saving the instantaneous fuel efficiency and the average fuel efficiency.

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for inducing economic driving of a hybrid vehicle are provided to efficiently induce economic driving by stimulating a driver's desire to achieve better fuel efficiency by calculating an accumulated mileage based on both fuel consumption and battery consumption, graphically displaying the accumulated mileage as a grade, and assigning score according to that particular driver's grade. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for inducing economic driving of a hybrid vehicle comprises: an accumulated driving distance calculating unit(10) to calculate an accumulated driving distance by calculating driving distances using vehicle speed information per a unit of time and summing the calculated driving distances; an accumulated consumption calculating unit(20) to calculate an accumulated consumption by calculating fuel consumption and battery consumption converted into an equivalent unit of measurement of the fuel consumption and summing the calculated fuel consumption and battery consumption; an accumulated mileage calculating unit(30) to calculate an accumulated mileage by dividing the accumulated driving distance by the accumulated consumption; a level detecting unit(40) to detect a level of an accumulated mileage calculated by the accumulated mileage calculating unit; a control unit(50) to synchronize the accumulated driving distance calculating unit with the accumulated consumption calculating unit, assign a score corresponding to the detected level, and control a display unit to display a graphical image corresponding to the detected level; and a display unit(60) to display graphical image corresponding to the detected level.
