    • PURPOSE: A planetary gear driving device is provided to secure high moment capacity and low backlash by moving a sun gear vertically to a driving axis and holding a supporting unit by a pair of taper roller bearings. CONSTITUTION: A planetary gear driving device(1) comprises an internal gear(2); a sun gear(3) positioned concentrically in the internal gear; at least one planetary gear(4) engaged with the internal gear and the sun gear; a supporting unit(5) for holding the planetary gear to rotate; a housing(6) for receiving the gears and the supporting unit; and taper roller bearings(7,8) of output and input sides arranged at each end of the internal gear along a driving axis(1a) and attached on the inner peripheral surface of the housing. The supporting unit has an output disc-shaped end plate unit(5a) and a cylindrical unit(5b). The cylindrical unit extends from the output disc-shaped end plate unit to an input side of the driving device. The output disc-shaped end plate unit of the supporting unit is rotatively supported to the inner peripheral surface of the housing by the taper roller bearing of the output side. An input side of the cylindrical unit of the supporting unit is rotatively supported to the inner peripheral surface of the housing by the taper roller bearing of the input side. The sun gear is concentrically inserted from the input side to the cylindrical unit. The internal gear is thin, elastic, and resiliently deformed in the radial direction. The sun gear is combined in a floating state to move vertically to an axial line.
