    • PURPOSE: An air supply system of a ship and a control method thereof are provided to simplify layout by decreasing the entire length of an air supply line and enhance workability by removing a manual operation. CONSTITUTION: An air supply system(1) of a ship comprises a plurality of air compressors(10), a main air storage tank(20), an ESB(Emergency switch board,30), an auxiliary air storage tank(40), and a generator engine(50). The main air storage tank is connected to a first air supply line through a second air supply line(21) to store compressed air supplied from each air compressor. The ESB is connected to one of the air compressors in the initial state of a dead ship to operate the air compressor connected. The auxiliary air storage tank is connected to the air compressor to which the EBS connected, through a direct line.
